Necessity of range block
[edit]Hi @Graham87:
Is it presently necessary for the IP range of this block to be so wide (65534 addresses and 3 years)? Telekom Srbija is a consumer ISP that implements CG-NAT with a relatively frequent change of translated IP, so a lot of Serbia unrelated to the blockee may be blocked (such as myself :) ).
I periodically did quick vandalism reverts as an anonymous user before I got this IP range assigned if I happen to come across some. I don't have a reason to create an account for such infrequent actions.
Could you reconsider this range block? Thanks.

- I've looked in to this block and it indeed had far too much collateral damage compared to how often the target of the block edited through this range, so I've reversed it. Having said that, we do have a famous quote here saying that trying to make serious edits to Wikipedia as an IP editor is like blindly blundering through the countryside on the first day of hunting season dressed like a moose and creating an account has several advantages, so I'd strongly encourage you to do so. - Thanks for looking into it. 93.87.111.225 (talk) 11:59, 22 October 2024 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
