[edit]Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use the sandbox for that. Thank you. - I did give a valid reason in the edit summary and also wrote on the talk page when you reverted my edit yesterday. You did exactly the thing you are accusing me of doing yesterday. Please don't abuse the revert feature. 81.234.111.171 (talk) 13:00, 1 March 2024 (UTC)
If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
- You will need to explain, using sources, why such a reversal of the article's discussion should take place. You can do that on the article talkpage. Your discussion there did not give a reason why the existing content should be changed or the existing references rejected. That particular statement has seen significant disruption in the past. Consensus is required for removal or reversal of existing sourced content. Acroterion (talk) 13:11, 1 March 2024 (UTC)
- I did that and you did not respond. The fact that other newer references contradicts the sentence should make it obvious why the content should be changed. I have made another attempt with an edit request. I want to ask you to please leave the edit request to someone else because you don't seem to be impartial on this article given your reverts without discussion on the talk page and unnecessary semi-protection of the article. 81.234.111.171 (talk) 13:25, 1 March 2024 (UTC)
- Significant changes of that kind need to be discussed on the talkpage and find consensus. You made a bold edit that made a significant change to the article, removing sourced content, and you will need to back it up with a consensus of sources, rather than just removing things that you disagree with. Provided you do not revert to your preferred version without finding consensus on the talkpage, I will removed the semi-protection. Bear in mind that the contentious topics restrictions apply there. This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
