By the way, Depolarization is when the membrane potential becomes less negative within the cell. IPSP only make a cell's membrane potential more negative, and will NEVER depolarize. They can cause repolarization or hyper-polarization. If you are confused trying looking up images of "depolarization and repolarization". There are many clear diagrams that show where the two terms fit into the process. Depolarization only occurs due to EPSPs and repolarization/hyperpolarization can occur due to IPSPs. It is more complicated than that, but IPSPs will never cause depolarization.
