[edit]Hello, I'm Chrisw80. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Ben Shneiderman with this edit, without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Chrisw80 (talk) 18:14, 24 February 2016 (UTC)
- If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
- wow dude, give me a second to make the update I described on the talk page. What are you, a bot? 69.25.143.33 (talk) 18:21, 24 February 2016 (UTC)
- Not a bot, but removing a controversies section on a biography of a living person is something that folks take notice of here. Are you saying the David Noble book "The Chronicle of Higher Education" doesn't make those statements about Mr. Shneiderman? The link you pointed at on the talk page doesn't seem to discuss Shneiderman at all, but it's not the source the article is using for the statement in question. - The Chronicle of Higher Education is not a book by David Noble, it's a journal, and the source cited was an article in that journal. I found the text of that article, linked that as the reference, then realized it doesn't support the claim it was cited for, and so removed the claim.
- Ah, I see what you're getting at, my apologies. The section should still stand, I think, but I will remove the "David Noble" part and that first reference. I'll leave the second reference. I'll make the change. Please look it over and let me know what you think on the article talk page. Chrisw80 (talk) 18:38, 24 February 2016 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that you recently added commentary to an article, Jenny Durkan. While Wikipedia welcomes editors' opinions on an article and how it could be changed, these comments are more appropriate for the article's accompanying talk page. If you post your comments there, other editors working on the same article will notice and respond to them, and your comments will not disrupt the flow of the article. However, keep in mind that even on the talk page of an article, you should limit your discussion to improving the article. Article talk pages are not the place to discuss opinions of the subject of articles, nor are such pages a forum. Thank you. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 21:17, 1 June 2018 (UTC)
