Speedy deletion nomination of REDICO

[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on REDICO requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Speedy deletion nomination of Marriott Bonvoy

[edit]

Hello Tkefan29,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Marriott Bonvoy for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Hudson's Site Building moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Hudson's Site Building, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Buy Buy Baby

[edit]

Please either cite a source for what you are edit warring to add to the Buy Buy Baby article, or remove it. Declaring a company defunct is not a trivial matter that Wikipedia should be doing without sources. Thanks. Escape Orbit (Talk) 17:01, 9 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't mean to engage in an edit war; I reverted your edit because it was causing a conflict in the system preventing me from publishing my edit, which expanded the article and improved its sourcing. I did not declare that the company was defunct (in fact, you'll note, I've removed such a declaration from the article before), but rather stated that it was still in existence and going through liquidation proceedings. All such claims are now properly sourced in the article. 42-BRT (talk) 18:48, 9 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

RE: Vehicle model years

[edit]

A car manufacturer can claim their car is from the future if they want, but from an encyclopaedic perspective that is clearly WP:PATENTNONSENSE and it's a violation of WP:CRYSTAL to say "this is a picture of a 2024 Trabant" without any context. If we say "this is a picture of a 2024-model year Trabant" then that would probably conform with WP:CRYSTAL, but in WP:PLAINENGLISH saying "this is a picture of a 2024 Trabant" means "this is a photograph taken in the future" to anyone who isn't familiar with North America-specific industry WP:JARGON. Light rail/LRT

[edit]

Hi, I have altered the lede first sentence on the light rail article. I find 'light rail transit' slightly too technical in ring to be the primary name used in the article. I presumed LRT to be a principally American term but admittedly a Google search does reveal a few sources from my native Sydney/Australia and from Britain that use it. I have kept LRT, only I have put it in brackets.

As a side note, having enjoyed the userboxes on your page, I just found out you're a political science student! Regards from a fellow politics student at the University of Sydney, Will Thorpe (talk) 11:16, 18 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi 42-BRT. Thank you for your work on Genfare. Another editor, Klbrain, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:

A page that helpful navigates the usual complex corporate history (in this case since 1980) in a clear way. Appropriately referenced with a variety of sources, altought many of them aren't readily available 'overseas'.

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Rite Aid, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page WHIO.

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
