Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Kirsi Kunnas, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Finnish. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

AfC notification: Draft:Mankeli has a new comment

[edit]
I've left a comment on your Articles for Creation submission, which can be viewed at Draft:Mankeli. Thanks! Theroadislong (talk) 17:50, 24 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah they definitely have lower standards, or stuff just gets missed because there is less active users. Or both. Either way, it makes trying to create an english wikipedia version much harder.
I also just found yesterday, here on this wikipedia, a decent-sized article that has been left with no sources for something like the past 10 years, and no one had put any flags on the page. So I guess it can happen anywhere 3SiameseCats (talk) 18:02, 24 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Martti Syrjä moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Martti Syrjä. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and it seems to be unfinished. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit for review" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. DoubleGrazing (talk) 07:52, 1 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I came across this article while doing new page patrol, and had to move it into drafts.
Firstly, please don't use the main article space for article development; do that in your own user space or sandbox instead, or in the Draft: name space. Articles in the main space must be fit for public consumption, and must meet all our core policies in terms of notability, verifiability, etc. The first version of this article that you published more than a month ago failed many of those.
It's also clear that this article is still not finished: there is a main-level section heading 'Eppu Normaali', under which is a sub-heading 'Early days of the band', under which there is nothing (ie. an empty section). While it is certainly possibly to add new content, including new sections, to published articles, the content visible to readers should add up to a fully-formed article at every point in time, because you never know when the next reader might come along. This empty section has been there for a week.
Then there is the issue of notability. Bearing in mind that notability is not inherited, an article on Martti must demonstrate his own individual notability, independent of the band. This article cites sources which don't appear, at least on a cursory glance, to satisfy the general notability guideline WP:GNG. The question is therefore, does Martti in his own right satisfy WP:MUSICBIO? Maybe he does, but in that case the evidence for that needs to be made clearer. This article was already tagged for insufficient evidence of notability, and I didn't want it to be sent to AfD; hence why I moved it to drafts where you can continue working on it in peace.
Hope that makes sense. Any questions or comments, ping me back. Best, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 08:17, 1 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
