If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Request reason:

My prior unblock request was arbitrarily deleted by an associate of the guy who's instigated a storm in a tea cup. Could an admin or moderator please examine this issue, and the fact our written request of appeal was hidden before any mediator could examine our grounds? Surely that isn't allowed? Further our IP gateway is banned from even posting on pages to request admin or moderator review and assistance in what is clearly turning into a guy madly back pedaling realizing he over reacted and went a bit power mad. As a wikipedian since it first started and as one of the older persons who use this gateway I am utterly disgusted to see this kind of behavior and truly hope this isn't the norm these days. Can SOMEONE please intervene and stop this nonsense? Addendum: Please examine our View History to see our grounds for appeal that were deleted before it could be reviewed properly. 123.98.130.3 (talk) 11:37, 9 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Unblock requests may not be placed by others. For your information, a very simple review of the edits by this IP address (including referring to others as "asshat" is perfect reasoning to remove those comments from a page owned by the Wikimedia Foundation (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 12:13, 9 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I am the owner and admin of the gateway in question, however our gateway has been blocked in a manner that we cannot appeal the block or post here or on any admin pages to try and seek resolution to this matter. Regarding my earlier unblock request, I was not debating the removal of content, I was requesting some sense be injected into this situation where a building has been banned because a user decided to claim he felt harassed. My first appeal was deleted by them, before an admin had a chance to read it, and I fear the earlier review wasn't exactly carried out thoroughly given that the only comment was on an edit note (?!) and nothing in relation to being banned for 'attempting to harass' someone who it's clear the OP of those comments doesn't know and doesn't care to know. It's a bit beauricratic that we're all stuck because someone got offended indirectly.

Decline reason:

This IP address has been used for significant amounts of unconstructive editing, and it is blocked to prevent continuation. It may be "beauricratic" [sic], but unfortunately the alternative, namely leaving IP addresses with histories of disruption open, would rapidly destroy Wikipedia, so we have to do it. It is also worth mentioning that the request would have been declined anyway, as it did not come from this IP address. JamesBWatson (talk) 22:36, 9 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
