Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but we cannot accept original research. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, and ideas—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. Helpsome (talk) 20:33, 12 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm MusikAnimal. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions —the one you made with this edit to IPad (3rd generation)— because it didn’t appear constructive to me. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. MusikAnimal talk 16:59, 15 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Less is more

[edit]

I reverted your edit to Less is more. Disambiguation articles are navigation guides to existing information - it does readers no good to send them to Nineteen Eighty-Four if they're looking for 'Less is more' because it isn't mentioned there.

Hello, and thank you for your contributions so far.

Disambiguation pages

[edit]

Please note that disambiguation pages have guidelines that are different from articles. From the Wikipedia:Disambiguation dos and don'ts you should:

  • Only list articles that readers might reasonably be looking for
  • Use short sentence fragment descriptions, with no punctuation at the end
  • Use exactly one navigable link ("blue link") in each entry that mentions the title being disambiguated
  • Only add a "red link" if used in existing articles, and include a "blue link" to an appropriate article
  • Do not pipe links (unless style requires it) – keep the full title of the article visible
  • Do not insert external links or references - Wikipedia is not a business directory
  • Do not add articles to acronym or initials disambiguation pages unless the person or entity is widely known by that name (in which case it should be stated in the linked article).

The phrase 'Less is more' should be discussed in the article Nineteen Eighty-Four (with reliable sources) before it is added to the disambiguation page Less is more. Please read the links above to learn how to edit effectively.

Thank you. Leschnei (talk) 22:53, 14 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contribution(s). I am glad to see that you are discussing a topic. However, as a general rule, while user talk pages permit a small degree of generalisation, other talk pages such as Wikipedia talk:Assume good faith are strictly for discussing improvements to their associated main pages, and many of them have special instructions on the top. They are not a general discussion forum about the article's topic or any other topic. If you have questions or ideas and are not sure where to post them, consider asking at the Teahouse. Thanks.
