This is your only warning; if you vandalize Wikipedia again, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. This warning is for the mass addition of incorrect information to various Scooby-Doo articles, including claims that Don Messick voiced Scooby six years after he died and that some of the specials contained episodes of Alvin and the Chipmunks.Katniss♥ 21:28, 1 April 2016 (UTC)
Is there a reason why you are going out of your way to obnoxiously WP:OVERLINK Walter's name here? Please explain. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 19:12, 1 August 2016 (UTC)
Also overlinking here. Overlinking is not constructive. If you keep doing it, you will wind up blocked. Also, I have a really great tool that allows me to revert all of your edits with a single click. If you keep making these changes and reverting other editors without providing a rational explanation, I don't mind reverting all your edits, which would be a colossal waste of your time. It's avoidable though, all you have to do is respond and/or seek consensus via discussion with other editors. Wikipedia is a community editing project, so when changes you make are reverted, especially for just reason like your abuse of wikilinks, the burden is yours to seek consensus through discussion. Thanks. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 19:17, 1 August 2016 (UTC)

[edit]You are still overlinking items. That is considered WP:DISRUPTIVE and you can be blocked if you continue. MarnetteD|Talk 18:25, 12 August 2016 (UTC)
You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Jim Henson. MarnetteD|Talk 18:34, 12 August 2016 (UTC)
IP editor, since you refuse to respond to discussions like my query above, if you add any more links that other editors consider to be excessive, I will suspend your editing privileges. Trying to force your preferences into articles is very disruptive and goes against the community nature of this community editing project. Either adhere to established community guidelines, or participate in constructive discussion with other editors to arrive at a consensus. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 19:41, 12 August 2016 (UTC)
Last warning for these sorts of edits too. Wikipedia is not IMDb, and it is not within our scope to catalog every single character or actor who may have appeared in a film or television series. We only care about the most significant roles/cast. All of this is detailed at MOS:FILM and MOS:TV, which you should be referring to if you intend to edit film and TV articles. For films, the guidelines are thus:
Actors and their roles can be presented and discussed in different forms in film articles depending on three key elements: 1) the prominence of the cast in the film, 2) the amount of real-world context for each cast member or the cast as a whole, and 3) the structure of the article. Editors are encouraged to lay out such content in a way that best serves readers for the given topic. If necessary, build toward a consensus. The key elements are discussed in detail:
A film's cast may vary in size and in importance. A film may have an ensemble cast, or it may only have a handful of actors. Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information, so it is encouraged to name the most relevant actors and roles with the most appropriate rule of thumb for the given film: billing, speaking roles, named roles, cast lists in reliable sources, blue links (in some cases), etc. If there are many cast members worth identifying, there are two recommended options: the names may be listed in two or three columns, or the names may be grouped in prose.
There are more guidelines that you need to read. If you object to these guidelines, you are welcome to seek consensus at each article's talk page, however, community consensus prevails until you are able to secure a local consensus. Any more deviations from our Manuals of Style or from any other community guideline will result in a block. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 21:11, 12 August 2016 (UTC)

Cyphoidbomb and I have explained why your editing is disruptive yet you have returned to making the exact same edits thatt brought about your previous block. Please consider this another final warning. MarnetteD|Talk 15:41, 2 September 2016 (UTC)

. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 15:48, 2 September 2016 (UTC)I'm not sure why this is a confusing issue, but your continued overlinking of names is disruptive and is creating more unnecessary work for editors to review and revert. Please adhere to our established community guidelines or the blocks will get longer. You are also encouraged to discuss your changes, as discussion might help other editors understand whatever rationale you might have. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 15:50, 2 September 2016 (UTC)
- Using alternate IPs won't help, it will just mean all involved will get even longer blocks. Don't continue down this path. DMacks (talk) 21:07, 2 September 2016 (UTC)

This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
