Erroneous vandalism warnings
[edit]Hi 118.209.186.245. Thank you for helping build the encyclopedia! I'm sorry that you have been getting hammered with false vandalism warnings. Although the automated ClueBot system is pretty good, it's not perfect, and sometimes there are false positives. Also, vandalism-patrolling editors sometimes make mistakes, too, and they tend to "believe" ClueBot, and sometimes place a vandalism warning template when it's not called for. I'd encourage you to register an account, which will help reduce these sorts of problems, although you of course are more than welcome to continue editing as an IP if you prefer. Please feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any trouble or need any help in the future. Cheers, and happy editing! – Levivich 14:21, 24 October 2019 (UTC)

Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.
Edit summary content is visible in:
Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! Djm-leighpark (talk) 09:55, 10 November 2019 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
