AFD

[edit]

Hi हिंदुस्थान वासी,
When nominating articles please provide a legitimate reason for deletion,
Simply stating "Not Notable" as you did here [1] is not a valid reason so I've closed that AFD,
Please expand your reasoning at this AFD as technically "Doesn't pass WP:COMPANY" is also an invalid reason as you've not said why it doesn't pass COMPANY,
And lastly please read WP:AFDFORMAT and WP:BEFORE before nominating articles,
Happy Editing :) Thanks, –Davey2010Talk 23:14, 5 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

 • Seeing as you can't be bothered to expand on your reasoning at the latter AFD- I can't be bothered to keep it open, Please read the links provided above which will help you significantly here, Thank you. –Davey2010Talk 04:11, 6 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I get it. Actually I Google searched them and when I not found any reliable sources I nominated them for deletion. I had seen many nominations with this type of brief reasons so I thought they are enough. You can see I'm from India, when you left this message I was asleep. And you closed it before I can elaborate my reasoning. Should have given at least one full day. Thank you for understanding.--Hindust@niक्या करें? बातें! 06:09, 6 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. YouTube

[edit]

Hi there, this edit doesn't make much sense to me. Your edit summary was "YouTube is not a reliable source". Well YouTube isn't the source, YouTube is a mechanism for delivering the source, which was a verified SalmanKhanFilms channel. Depending on context and the content being asserted, verified YouTube videos meet the basic requirement for inclusion. (We don't want to link to potential copyright violations, for example.) Now whether or not the specific verified channel is reliable or not, is a different story. If we're citing a verified Salman Khan channel in an article about a Salman Khan film, generally speaking that should be a sufficient reference. (I wouldn't use a primary source for something like film financials or anything where there might be an inherent conflict of interest.) Anyhow, I've reverted your edit for these reasons. If you have a problems specifically with the video cited, like that it does not say anything about being based on Little Boy, that would be a valid reason to remove, but you'd need to explain that. Thanks. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 02:39, 6 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for information. Yes, it do not say anything about Little Boy, not in video or in description. Only people commenting there by seeing the teaser. This is not original research? --Hindust@niक्या करें? बातें! 06:49, 6 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi हिंदुस्थान वासी. When tagging an entire article, as you did here, it would be helpful if you'd leave a note on the article's talk page indicating where you think the problem lies. This will give editors who are unfamiliar with the topic a better chance to work on fixing it. Alternatively, one or two well-placed inline tags—Undue weight inline—might do the trick. RivertorchFIREWATER 16:14, 2 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Rivertorch:, I changed the tag. Is this right now?--Hindust@niक्या करें? बातें! 16:41, 2 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, it does. I'll take a look at it later. Thanks! RivertorchFIREWATER 16:44, 2 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

We are going to keep butting heads on these surname things because you are repeatedly adding stuff about clans that the English Wikipedia community has considered to be not notable. I'm not even convinced that your source is great for this particular aspect of study: yes, Oxford is a renowned publisher but that does not mean it is always right and when a book about English-usage of surnames drifts into Indic usage, I think we are on dodgy ground. - Sitush (talk) 09:33, 24 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I am just adding source and some information. My English is not good so I cannot do anything else. I think that this kind of information shouldn't be overlooked because of some users who add original research or promotional stuff. It is better to give essential information with reputed sources than engage in reverting.--Hindust@niक्या करें? बातें! 12:28, 24 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Custom signature fix needed

[edit]

Hi there! You have a custom signature set in your account preferences. A change to Wikipedia's software has made your current custom signature incompatible with the software.

The problem: Your signature contains a syntax error, specifically formatting tags that are in the wrong order.

The solutions: You can reset your signature to the default, or you can fix your signature.

Solution 1: Reset your signature to the default:
 1. Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
 2. Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
 3. Remove anything in the Signature: text box.
 4. Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page. (The red "Restore all default settings" button will reset all of your preference settings, not just the signature.)
Solution 2: Fix your custom signature:
 1. Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
 2. Change the signature as shown below, or make other edits to make the signature appear how you want it to appear.
 3. Click Save to update to your newly fixed signature.

Current signature:
Hindust@niक्या करें? बातें!

Fixed signature:
Hindust@niक्या करें? बातें!

More information is available at Wikipedia:Signatures#Customizing how everyone sees your signature. If you have followed these instructions and still want help, please leave a message at Wikipedia talk:Signatures. Thanks. – Jonesey95 (talk) 18:35, 10 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Tamanna (1997 film), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Hijra. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
