Speedy deletion nomination of Israel Scouts Ranch

[edit]

Hello דור פוזנר,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Israel Scouts Ranch for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Amos Ilani moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Amos Ilani, is not suitable as written to remain published. It appears there is a WP:UPE or WP:COI conflict. Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, and have addressed the UPE/COI issue, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. As per WP policy, please do not move into mainspace yourself. Onel5969 TT me 13:32, 30 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

CS1 error on Young Judaea

[edit]

Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page Young Judaea, may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:

  • A "bare URL and missing title" error. References show this error when they do not have a title. Please edit the article to add the appropriate title parameter to the reference. (Fix | Ask for help)

Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, Qwerfjkl (bot) (talk) 13:35, 27 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed it. דור פוזנר (talk) 08:05, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Mirrors

[edit]

Information icon Thanks for contributing to the article Gilad Kleter. However, one of Wikipedia's core policies is that material must be verifiable and attributed to reliable sources. You have recently used citations which copied, or mirrored, material from Wikipedia. This leads to a circular reference and is not acceptable. Most mirrors are clearly labeled as such, but some are in violation of our license and do not provide the correct attribution. Please help by adding alternate sources to the article you edited! If you need any help or clarification, you can look at Help:Contents/Editing Wikipedia or ask at Wikipedia:New contributors' help page, or just ask me. Thank you. Sam Kuru (talk) 02:13, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, I will work on it. דור פוזנר (talk) 08:02, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Control copyright icon Hello דור פוזנר! Your additions to World Scout Education Congress have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 12:03, 5 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Introduction to contentious topics

[edit]

You have recently edited a page related to the Arab–Israeli conflict, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

  • adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
  • comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
  • follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
  • comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
  • refrain from gaming the system.

Additionally, you must be logged-in, have 500 edits and an account age of 30 days, and are not allowed to make more than 1 revert within 24 hours on a page within this topic.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

WP:ATTRIBUTEPOV and original research

[edit]

Hi. I have some comments for your revert of my edit to Mahmoud Abbas:

The addition of Template:By whom was to mark MOS:WEASEL. It means that it is improper to make assertions such as "x is widely believed to have committed election interference", without citing a representative survey. In the case of Mahmoud Abbas, I have little reason to doubt that the perception from the Palestinian public or journalistic community of him is one that is riddled by corruption, but supporting sources still have to be provided.

I have just made an edit that fulfils WP:ATTRIBUTEPOV. Rather than reverting the in-line warnings, it would have been better to fix the weasel expressions yourself. Y. Dongchen (talk) 23:35, 8 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Y. Dongchen,
Thank you for your comments and for bringing this to my attention. I appreciate your efforts to ensure the article adheres to Wikipedia's guidelines. I understand the importance of providing proper citations and avoiding weasel words. I will review the sources and make the necessary adjustments to ensure the content is well-supported and meets the standards of WP:ATTRIBUTEPOV. דור פוזנר (talk) 14:56, 3 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of killings and massacres in Mandatory Palestine, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Lehi. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 07:56, 17 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

MBC controversy in the Killing of Yahya Sinwar

[edit]

Please do not restore this section again, like you did in this edit, prior to getting a consensus on the talk page. Please note that there is already an open discussion in the talk page about whether this section is relevant to this article. The Mountain of Eden (talk) 04:37, 27 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your message and for pointing this out. I apologize for any inconvenience caused. I will refrain from restoring the section until a consensus is reached on the talk page. I appreciate your guidance and will participate in the discussion to ensure we reach a balanced and well-supported decision. דור פוזנר (talk) 14:57, 3 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Restoration of the "Responsible Party" Column on List of killings and massacres in Mandatory Palestine

[edit]

Hi דור, Myself and 1 other have left some comments on the talk page regarding why we believe this edit should be reverted and the reasons for doing so. I saw you previously attempted to revert the removal of this column but without "reasoning" it was undone.

If you could please review the reasons I gave in the talk page, and if you agree with them, please revert the removal of this column (and the other user who mentioned the removal of the Jerusalem stabbings of 1921, which should be restored as well). I unfortunately do not have enough edits yet to have permissions to edit this page myself.

תודה רבה ושבת שלום Teflawn (talk) 22:18, 1 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your message and for sharing your thoughts on the talk page. I appreciate your insights and the discussion surrounding the "Responsible Party" column and the Jerusalem stabbings of 1921. It’s important to consider all perspectives to ensure the accuracy and comprehensiveness of the article. I will review the comments further to better understand the rationale provided. דור פוזנר (talk) 14:59, 3 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Revert

[edit]

Please explain how this revert is "legit"? Since when do we remove secondary sources and replace them with primaries?? Selfstudier (talk) 17:12, 3 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I'll fix that. I just meant to restore the other declarations explaining the Israeli position.דור פוזנר (talk) 17:44, 3 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Amsterdam November riots: reactions of other countries

[edit]

Hello, you have added a section with reactions in other countries, we already had this section (with almost the same information) and it has been agreed that it should be removed. Several editors felt that this section was too long, and adding some countries would require adding many other countries. The agreement was to keep the communities/countries most directly involved: Netherlands, Israel, Palestine. Also the reactions of academics were deleted. I have opened a topic on the talk page in case you want to reopen the discussion even though there was consensus among the editors. Sorry about the job you did in the page. Sometimes it is good to check the discussion before. Have a nice day. AyubuZimbale (talk) 17:36, 14 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:34, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
