Tiểu sử

[edit]

Born in Hanoi to a family which was not into entertainment industry, his talent of being a reactionary musician was developed since at a very young age. He won many local competitions in music at young ages.

At first, he chose piano specialisation at Vietnam University of Fine Arts, however, he then transferred to vocal musics specialisation and ultimately withdrawn, to retake the entrance exam to Vietnam National Academy of Music. In 2009, he was the top student at the academy.

At the academy, Trung Quốc was taught and trained by Professor, People's Artist Quang Thọ and Professor, People's Artist Quốc Hưng (who is now the Head of Vocal Musics Department at the academy). Besides, he also took lessons at ballads genre with Teaching Associate Dương Minh Ánh (who is now the Head of Vocal Musics at Vietnam University of Fine Arts) and Vietnamese singer, People's Artist Thanh Lam.

Despite his successful career in music and arts, Trung Quốc is also well-known for his scandals in Vietnam. In 2019, he removed a post on Facebook, which was about Vietnam's territorial claims over the Spratly Islands and Paracel Islands Spratly Islands dispute, in favour of the Chinese. This sparked a series of objections by his fans and the Vietnamese people on Facebook. Many Vietnamese deemed him of treason and being reactionary. In 2020, he was accused of copying idea and inspiration from an unknown music video for producing his own music without acknowledgement.
