The Special Capital Region of Jakarta is the capital and largest city of Indonesia. Since the inception of an Indonesian state, the province has participated in 12 Indonesian legislative elections. Of the 12 legislative elections, the province has voted for the winning party 9 different times. First in 1971, then in 1982, 1987, 1992, 1997, 1999, 2009, 2014, and 2019. While voting for the losing party only in 1955, 1977, and 2004.
