Peters, known affectionately as "Lachie" or "Mr. Handsome" (a nickname he earned at Plattsville Day Camp, where he was often dubbed "the greatest counselor ever"), is a young man whose diverse talents and humble nature have earned him admiration across a variety of fields. Born with an adventurous spirit, Lachie has made remarkable strides in athletics, academics, and animal care, all while maintaining an infectious sense of humor and a kind heart.

Lachie’s passion for sports, particularly wrestling, has shaped much of his life. A standout in freestyle and Roman Greco wrestling, Lachie has claimed his place as one of Canada’s finest. He is currently ranked 3rd in the country for freestyle wrestling, a testament to his dedication and skill. However, his talent is not limited to just one discipline; Lachie is also a skilled competitor in Roman Greco wrestling, often surpassing his older brother, Brealey Peters, in many of their wrestling matches.

Lachie’s wrestling accolades are impressive, including being an Ontario Winter Games winner, multiple-time Matman Classic champion, and holder of several other prestigious wrestling titles. Outside of wrestling, Lachie is recognized as one of the greatest horse trainers in his community. Whether it’s training a large Belgian draft horse or a small pony, Lachie has demonstrated unparalleled expertise in working with horses. Specializing in training and handling ponies, Lachie’s ability to connect with and improve the behavior of animals has earned him the reputation as a highly sought-after trainer.

Over the years, Lachie has been the proud owner of roughly 20 horses, as well as a variety of other animals, including 3 sheep, 2 pigs, and more than 50 bunnies. Each animal has its own special place in Lachie’s heart, and he gives them all charming names like Mayo, Porkchops, and Nibbles. His affection for his animals is evident, and he always strives to help them grow and improve.

Completing high school at Notre Dame High School in Woodstock, Ontario, with an impressive 85% average, Lachie demonstrated his academic prowess throughout his high school career. Notably, he scored a remarkable 98% in Grade 10 math and earned a 95% in Grade 11 physics, which he completed in just four days over the summer. These feats are a reflection of Lachie’s determination, resilience, and ability to push his limits, whether on a bike or in any other area of his life.
