I love wikipedia, really I do. I spend a lot of time here. But really, wikipedia is to the enyclopedic world, what Urban Dictionary is to the dictionary world. It's just a bit of fun, it wont last, it can't be counted on. Urbanpedia would have been a better name for it JayKeaton 12:42, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
I am a pro vandalism user. I do not vandal myself, nor do I condone it, but vandalism is something that attracts a lot of people to Wikipedia, it keeps people talking about it, it feeds the "controversy". Without this edgy side to wikipedia, a lot of people may have perhaps not been interested in working on it or using it, so perhaps wikipedia may not have taken off at all if it weren't for vandals. What grinds my gears? Wikipedia users that use improper deletion tags on new articles that do not need to be deleted, and lazy admins who go ahead and delete the articles without even checking if the article even broke the rules of the tag cited. Or even lazy admins that would rather flat out delete a perfectly good stub without trying to improve on it themselves or even asking the article starter to improve it. Just because you do not like a page doesn't mean you should just slap any old tag on there and go ahead and delete it. If you do that, you are violating wikipedias own rules and you are simply damaging the further creation of useful articles. Plus it's simply a lazy thing to do. Any admins or users that break these rules, I will be book marking their page and recording that and any further incident of rule breaking and laziness. So when promotion or demotion time comes along for the, I will be able to inform and prove to the other voters just how lazy and destructive that wikipedian really is JayKeaton 13:38, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
