TMPGEnc Video Mastering Works is a video transcoder software application primarily for converting digital video files from one format to another and was developed by Pegasys, Inc. It is part of the TMPGEnc family of software products and runs on Microsoft Windows.
The free trial version of TMPGEnc Video Mastering works has a 14-day time limit.[1]
History
[edit]TMPGEnc Video Mastering Works is the latest version of Pegasys Inc's main encoding software. It was previously known as TMPGEnc XPress for versions 3.0 and 4.0, and before that, it was known simply as TMPGEnc or TMPGEnc Plus. TMPGEnc and TMPGEnc Plus are still available to download or purchase from the TMPGEnc website.[2] TMPGEnc 3.0 XPress was also sold at brick-and-morter retailers as Tsunami MPEG Video Encoder XPress. The first beta version of TMPGEnc was released on December 4, 2000.[3] TMPGEnc Plus 2.5, the shareware version of TMPGEnc, was released on December 27, 2001 with the English version released on January 28, 2002.[4] The English version of TMPGEnc 3.0 XPress went on sale on May 19, 2004.[5] The English version of TMPGEnc 4.0 XPress was released on June 14, 2006.[6]
