On Wikipedia, editing disputes can become heated. This is a reality that Wikipedia editors, like the author of this essay, are well aware of. In such situations, the most effective way to regain composure is to embrace a mindful approach and meditate. There's no universal method for meditation—what works varies from person to person. Ultimately, it's not about how you meditate but simply ensuring that you're stepping away from editing the article that made you cool down while you do it. In fact, you don't necessarily have to calm down; redirecting your frustration elsewhere can be an option. (Though finding a way to calm down is strongly advised—redirected anger can still resurface when reminded of the article in question...)
