Overview

The WikiWizard is a wielder of many arcane tools, spells and diverse effects. With an ease borne of years of study and training they may be able to wield the arcane intricacies of template code to create lofty or ingeniously-crafted for the wikicommuntiy. alternately, they may navigate the complexities of obscure wiki procedural rules to eaasily surmount obstacles that might daunt even an experienced conventional editor. they may craft an approach that can capture and entirely new sitcom tv series; or, alternately, they may peer through the fog of history to document historical personages whoa re normally lost or obscured in the mists of time.

WikiWizards appear anywhere and everywhere that WikiEditors might be found in need, or where the needs of Wikipedia might require their services. they might make an appearance at the Help Desk, where a WikiEditor needs help with lining up a column in a table with multiple sort criteria, or untangling a navbox whose formatting seems hopelessly convoluted. or next, they might show up at the teahouse, taking a benevolently mild approach to nurture a newly-appeared Wikieditor still in the novice stage. Or alternately, they might swoop in upon some involved and multi-layered debate at the Village Pump on some thorny issue, effortlessly and sagaciosuly dispensing insights and wise counsel to all.

Some WikiWizards choose to take on a prominent group role, running a WikiProject or editing drive through a mixture of dazzling technical skills, alloyed with sagacious and judicious comments to their fellow editors, whom they chilvarously and generously approach as colleagues and equals, discerning no real difference in goal or spirit, no matter how one writer's craft and experience might differ from other seasoned veterans. or sometimes, they might labor in the shadows on in the most distant byways of wikipedia, patiently and meticulously smoothing down obstacles unseen, which might later vex the path and the work of less-seasoned editors coming after in their wake.

whereever they go, and whatever they may do, the WikiWizards serve as qunitessential members of the community, while simultaneously exhibitng timeworn aqnd wondrous talents of both craft and thiought, painstakingly forging a path for the Wikipedia community as a whole, and also, fostering an atmosphere where the talents and penchants of all are respected, even those whose contributions might be lacking in craft, as long as they are of fair and heartfelt motives.

Allies and opponents

Chief amongst the allies of the WikiWizards are the doughty and hard-working WikiGnomes, many of whom are already on the way to becming WikiWizards in their own right. Next come the fair WikiFairies, whose evanescent and mellifluous comings-and-going are most harmonious in connection with the WikiWizards far-ranging work. The WikiWizrd may also oft have need for the WikiKnight as they both hew to the chilvarous nature of WikiCommunity to protect the community from other hazards.

The WikiWizrds seeks to exist in balance and harmony with almost all members of the Wikicommunity. Occasionally, their patience might be tried by the WikiHarrier-Hawk, ad it doggedly seeks to prolong conflict and contention, often with little reason or benefit. Also, they will foten oppose the work of WikiWolves, seeing their combative nature as overall harmful to the workings of the WikiRealm.

The WikiShepherd is a constant companion and ally of the WikiWizard, as they both treasure the fair and smooth workings of the Wikisystem to the benefit of all. Also, the WIkiPrairie Dogs will often enjoy the company of the WikiWizard, as they scrry busily about, building their natural communities to augment the WikiLandscape.

It is hoped that whereever a WikiEditor may go in their travels, they will welcome the wise and beneficient counsel of the odd WikiWizard with whom they might cross paths. Often sagacious, sometimes grumpy, always knowledgable, the WikiWizard is almost a source of positive insights, even to those with whom they might enter into some disputatious colloquy, as long as all accept the deeper goals of the WikiRealm.

All are encouraged to seek out a WikiWizard, and to proffer greetings. They have little need of barnstars, and instead value most chiefly the simple respect of the fair denizens of the WikiWorld.
