Mahesh Babu is an Indian film director, screenwriter who works in Kannada cinema. He rose to fame with 2005 Blockbuster film Aakash.

Career

Mahesh Babu started his career in 1994 film Bhairava as an assistant director and then he worked under well known director 's such as Raj Kishor, Yogesh Hunsur, Mohan Gandhi, Vijay, Om Prakash Rao, Kishore Sarja, Puri Jagannadh, M. S. Ramesh, Dinesh Baboo, Shivamani and Meher Ramesh. After working as an assistant and associate director for 15 films Mahesh made his direction debut in 2005 film Aakash starring Puneeth Rajkumar and Ramya which became blockbuster hit by successfully completing 200 days. In 2007 he directed Arasu starring Puneeth Rajkumar, Ramya and Meera Jasmine which became one of the major blockbuster hit of 2007. Mahesh then directed Paramesha Panwala in 2008 starring Shiva Rajkumar, Surveen Chawla and Sonu and next he directed Meravanige starring Prajwal Devaraj and Aindrita Ray which became industry hit. In 2009 he directed Abhay starring Darshan and Aarti Thakur which performed well at box office. Mahesh in 2010 directed Chirru starring Chiranjeevi Sarja and Kriti Kharbanda which got good response. In 2012 he directed Prem Adda remake of Tamil film Subramaniapuram starring Prem and Kriti Kharbanda which became mass hit. Mahesh directed Paramashiva and Ajith starring Chiranjeevi Sarja and Nikki Galrani in 2014.

In 2016 Mahesh Babu directed Crazy Boy casting newcomers Dilip Prakash and Ashika Ranganath which successfully completed 100 days. He then directed Athiratha in 2017 starring Chetan Kumar and Latha Hegde.
