Jo Joseph was born in Kerala, India. Jo did his Research Studies in Spain as Information & Communication Technology and Migration studies at the University of Balearic Islands - Department of Computer Architecture & Engineering - Palma Island and the University of Granada - Institute of Migration Studies. He also serves as an Ambassador of Arqus European Universities Alliances and Center for Open Science Networks in the US. He was invited from UTS - Sydney as a Visiting Scholar.

He engaged with IMISCOE, Migration Research Hub, and was a reviewer of the SPRINGER, IGI Global, and Science PG journals. Also, he published many articles in the Social Science Research Network (SSRN).

He worked in multiple positions in India, UAE, & EU for over 10 years. He learned Spanish, French and German newly and well-known Indian languages such as Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam & English language too.

He earned multiple Master's degree from Indian state universities (Master of Technology in IT - Center for Information Technology & Engineering, CITE at Manonmaniam Sundaranar University - Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu), Master of Philosophy in Political Science (Department of Social Science at Madurai Kamaraj University - Madurai, Tamil Nadu), Master of Computer Science (Bharatiar University - Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu), Master of Social Work in Community Development, Annamalai University - Chidambaram, Tamil Nadu), Master of Arts in Public Administration (University of Madras - Chennai, Tamil Nadu) and Graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Electronics with Computer Science (Mahatma Gandhi University - Kottayam, Kerala) in South India respectively.

Schooling was St Mary's LP School - Kerala, St Maria Goretti UP School - Kerala, St Sebastian's High School - Nedumkandam, Kerala etc. Higher Education (Post matric) Govt Vocational Higher Secondary School - Kerala etc

Also, he completed different National Certificates for vocational subjects of Electrical, Computer Networking, Hardware & ICT from Modular Employable Skills by Govt of India in 2006 - 2009 at KITCO Center - Kochi
