Hello, I'm a Sri Lankan Wikipedian who started writing articles for the site as a way to kill time, but didn't anticipate the regulations to be this onerous. I only learned about copyrights from Wikipedia. The reason is because when I first used Wikipedia at the age of eleven, I was completely unaware of copyright issues. Only afterwards did I grasp how important copyrights are and how I should be cautious while modifying particular pieces. Other than that, Wikipedia assisted me in enhancing my English proficiency. My writing skills, particularly in English, were extremely poor at the time. But now that I've compared myself to those, I can tell that I've significantly improved.
