Article Title

Chinook Salmon

Article Evaluation

This article is fairly well written. The content is relevant and written neutrally, and most claims have a citation. The sources mostly consist of scholarly articles/academic journals and government data. However, there are some news articles cited, although they are mostly reputable news sites. It does somewhat cover one of Wikipedia’s equity gaps, as the Chinook salmon’s significance to Native American tribes such as the Klamath is one of the sections in the article. That section is one that could be expanded upon. In addition, the “Recent data” and “Management” sections can be expanded upon, adding information such as recovery plans for the species, data from more recent years, and the removal of 4 dams in the Klamath River.

Article title

Kelp forest

Article Evaluation

The article, which is written neutrally and covers relevant information, cites many scientific journals and some news articles. It does not cover a Wikipedia equity gap. Some improvements I would propose are improved coverage of the declining kelp forests of California and restoration and more connections to the involvement of sea stars and other species in the kelp forest ecosystem.

Article title

Mount Diablo

Article Evaluation

The content written about in this article is relevant and written from a neutral viewpoint. This article cites quite a lot of sources that could be improved on (news articles, some sites don’t work, some essays that don’t cite their sources well, many of the sources come from one site - savemountdiablo.org, etc.) It does cover a Wikipedia equity gap, as Mount Diablo holds some significance in to the Native American tribes in the area, which had native names for the peak. I would propose adding more Native American viewpoints to the page, adding more species to the vegetation/wildlife, and providing better sources for some of the information in the article.
