A Very 1999 Christmas is the debut album of YouTuber and Twitch streamer jschlatt.[1] It released on December 1, 2024 on YouTube, Spotify and Apple Music.[2]
Content
[edit]The album contains cover versions of various famous Christmas songs.[1]
Background and recording
[edit]Schlatt has stated that production took over a year. The instrumentals was created with the help of saxophonist Tom Scott, a former member of The Blues Brothers, to arrange the music sheets.[3] The full album was recorded at The Sound Factory in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California. Production was handled by Cameell Hanna.[4]
Announcement and release
[edit]Schlatt announced the album on November 7, 2024, the same day he released his first single, "Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town".[5] The second single was released on November 21, 2024.[4] The album released on December 1, 2024.[6] A vinyl version was also released on Schlatt's website.[3]
