History
[edit]Thaitheparos Public Company Limited was founded in 1954 by Mr. Chai Sae Kow under the name Thai Theparos Factory Registered Ordinary Partnership. The company's first product, the "Golden Mountain" seasoning sauce, was introduced as an affordable alternative to imported condiments and became widely used in Thai households.[1][6]
In 1970, Thaitheparos relocated its production facility from Bangkok to Samut Prakan to accommodate increasing demand. Over the next decade, the company expanded its product line to include distilled vinegar (1977), chili sauces (1978), tomato ketchup (1979), and oyster sauce (1981). The "Golden Mountain" brand gained recognition as a common cooking ingredient in Thailand.
In 1993, the company was reorganized as a public company, adopting the name Thaitheparos Public Company Limited. In 1995, it became the exclusive distributor of the Sriraja Panich chili sauce brand, acquiring the brand outright in 1998. This acquisition expanded its market presence in the chili sauce segment.
During the 2000s, Thaitheparos introduced packaging innovations, such as the EZEEE Squeeze bottle in 2008, targeting consumer preferences for convenience. By 1999, the company had doubled its production capacity for seasoning sauces to meet growing domestic and international demand.
In the 2010s, the company implemented measures to enhance sustainability, such as switching to PET bottles for condiments and installing solar panels at its production facilities. These efforts reflected its focus on reducing environmental impact.
As of 2022, Thaitheparos is recognized as a major manufacturer of condiments in Thailand, offering a wide range of products and maintaining a presence in international markets. The company continues to emphasize innovation, sustainability, and quality in its operations.[2]

The sauce is made with chili peppers aged for at least three months to bring out the chile's natural flavor, pickled garlic, sugar, and sea salt. The resulting flavor is the product of adding vinegar to the mixture weekly. It is one of the company's signature products and is distributed worldwide. There are 3 formulas: Medium hot, Strong hot, and Yellow Chili.[11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18][19]
