Biography

My full name is Philip John Antony Le Claire and I was born in Jersey on the 13th April 1962.

I am married to the most wonderful woman I know, Val and we have two incredible children, Sam (14) and Mollie (8).

I live on the island of Jersey in the Channel Islands, which is the largest of the Channel Islands, and part of the British Isles. Conversely, although we are part of the British Isles, we are not part of the United Kingdom and therefore outside the European Community.

Interests

• Many people say that I am obsessed with Autism and Asperger's Syndrome.... MAYBE!
• I am also involved with the Scout Movement and I am currently the Special Needs Advisor for the Jersey Scout Association. I used to be the Group Scout Leader of the 10th Jersey (St Brelade) Scout Group.
• I like Archery, but don't get a chance to do very much of it.

Work

I am currently the Executive Director of Autism Jersey a charity that champions a full and inclusive life for people with autism by working in partnership with other agencies.

I've done many, many things, including: Being an apprentice carpenter, a soldier, a musician, a lorry driver, a storeman, a shop assistant, a hire car rep, a hod carrier, a music teacher, a barman, a bouncer, a labourer, a forklift truck driver and just before this, a buyer for a builder. Varied eh!
