[edit]Lead
[edit]Perhaps I would start out more broad, talk more about the physics of how electric fields affect biological systems before talking about something specific like cancer.
You need a brief description of the article's major sections
Content
[edit]Super relevant content. I think a figure illustrating why aligning dipoles would prevent polymerization of cytoskeletal elements would be great. Also you need to include the strength of the field. Is this just electric fields or is this magnetic fields too?
I see the flow of how this relates to cancer, just polish up some things and you'll be on your way.
Tone and Balance
[edit]No problems here
Sources and References
[edit]This looks great too
Peer Review 2
[edit]- Clarity in Sentence Structure:
- Change"This would lead to cell death in daughter cells with abnormal chromosome numbers." to "resulting in cell death in daughter cells with abnormal chromosome numbers."
- Word Choice and Redundancy:
- The phrase "The frequency of the TTField can be adjusted within the intermediate range (100-300kHz)" contains redundancy. The term "intermediate frequency" is already mentioned earlier. Change to "The frequency of TTFields can be adjusted within the intermediate range (100-300kHz)."
- Parallel Structure: Change "Cells divide in different orientations, and will be affected the most by an electric field that is parallel with its direction of division (or, perpendicularly to the mitotic plate)," to "Cells divide in different orientations and are most affected by an electric field that is parallel to their direction of division or perpendicular to the mitotic plate."
- Conciseness and Redundancy:
- Change "Emerging evidence suggests alternating electric field therapy may disrupt a multitude of other biological processes, including DNA repair, cell permeability, and immunological responses, to elicit therapeutic effects." to "Emerging evidence suggests that alternating electric field therapy disrupts various biological processes, including DNA repair, cell permeability, and immunological responses, to elicit therapeutic effects."
- Spelling: Replace "perpendicualr" with "perpendicular."
