As a first-generation Cuban-American Dr. Enrique de la Cruz is a distinguished biophysicist and academic leader. De la Cruz is currently holding the prestigious position of Chair within the Department of Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry at Yale University. With a profound focus on the intricate mechanisms underlying cellular dynamics, Dr. de la Cruz has made remarkable contributions to the field of molecular biophysics, particularly in his research endeavours about the cytoskeleton and motor proteins.
Education and Early Career
Dr. Enrique de la Cruz began his college-level academic journey by pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Rutger University, where his fascination for molecular biology and biophysics began to flourish.
