Articles I am working on

[edit]

Articles I have reviewed for GA

[edit]
  • Marburg's Bloody Sunday – unusual topic that was part of a wider conflict; interesting focus; promoted to GA; review completed 26 May 2011
  • 1926 FA Cup Final – provided wide coverage of event and well-written; promoted to GA; review completed 30 May 2011
  • Hebrides – excellent article; promoted to GA; review completed 1 June 2011
  • German destroyer Z11 Bernd von Arnim – good, concise article that is fully to the point; promoted to GA; review completed 1 June 2011
  • Jack Crawford – scope restricted to cricket career; lack of source information about private life; a lot of useful assistance from the editor here; promoted to GA; review completed 12 June 2011
  • Klemens von Metternich – had to fail this unfortunately; basically, it was nominated too soon before its scope had been fully defined and certainly before it had been subject to a thorough copyedit; I also felt it was too long and should have been condensed into a strict summary with a number of child articles; review completed 14 June 2011
  • Liverpool F.C. in Europe – needed an extensive copyedit (by me!) to bring it up to well-written standard; it finally made it

Useful pages

[edit]
  • User:Mykleavens/sandbox is my sandbox page for experimentation
  • User:Mykleavens/sandbox2 is another one
  • WP:CRIN explains the rules of qualification for articles about cricketers, clubs, matches, venues, etc.
  • WP:ELPOINTS
  • WP:GAN and WP:GAC
  • Wikipedia:WikiGnomes work behind the scenes of a wiki, tying up little loose ends and making things run more smoothly by fixing typos, correcting poor grammar, creating redirects, adding categories and repairing broken links. This describes what I often did before I formally joined the site, so I think I qualify!
