[edit]- Issue addressed miranda 05:24, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
Is there a freely available map available for this article? May want to look on gov. websites (i.e. The Department of Transportation)
- I'll put in a request at WP:USRD/MTF. We have GIS data. —Rob (talk) 16:55, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
Introduction
[edit]- Issue addressed miranda 05:35, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
- Increasing traffic volumes on the road caused to numerous fatal accidents near Morton, leading state officials to replace the route with a limited-access freeway.
- Too many "lead"s. Break this up into two sentences if possible.
- I had to copyedit this section.
- Avoid using "route", but use "interstate" instead.
- Illinois Route 121 - add (IL 121) because I notice that IL 121 is used later throughout the article as an abbreviation.
Route description
[edit]- Issue addressed (weak - I had to copyedit this section). miranda 05:54, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
- Avoid using the word "it"
- No cites.
- Interstate 155 is a four-lane freeway for its entire length. It runs through rural central Illinois and is surrounded for most of its length by farmland.
- Combine sentence, and delete the word "it".
- Correct: Surrounded mostly by farmland, Interstate 155 is a four-lane freeway running through rural central Illinois.
- Near Morton, some residential development is taking place near the highway. - OR
- I copyedited one sentence in this section.
History
[edit]- Issue addressed miranda 10:00, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
- Look in the thes. for other words which are synonymous with "runs"
- Correct: Within a few years, the intersection with IL 121 would as the "Killer Corner". Traffic volumes increased between Lincoln and Peoria on IL 121.
- How does IL 98 related to IL 121?
- To the north, a short freeway portion was constructed in 1970 to replace a bridge over the Mackinaw River. - Which highway are we talking about, and to the north of what?
- New paragraph should start with the lawsuit.
- Illinois had applied for I-155 to be designated Interstate 37, but the request was rejected by the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO).[4]
- Last sentence needs to be integrated with last paragraph. When did they apply for the status?

[edit]Yikes. {{cite news}} doesn't italicize for me? I'll work on the rest... —Rob (talk) 16:00, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
- Okay, addressed a lot of these issues. I have made comments above so as to be more helpful. —Rob (talk) 16:55, 24 December 2007 (UTC)

Post-Analysis
[edit]Comments
[edit]- For the exits on the table, I could not access the MapsQuest link. As a result, I took it out. For this, you might want to cite a reliable map (i.e. from State Farm Insurance or AAA - I think they are free if you are a member of either of the insurance chains) miranda 05:21, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
- Kind of had to copyedit this article because the prose could have been better.
Final Decision (6/0/0)
