Miss Venezuela 1975 was the 22nd Miss Venezuela pageant, televised live by Venevisión. It was held at the Poliedro de Caracas in Caracas, Venezuela on June 25, 1975.

At the end of the event, Neyla Moronta of Zulia crowned Maritza Pineda of Nueva Esparta as Miss Venezuela 1975. She represented Venezuela at the Miss Universe 1975 pageant.

This was the first Miss Venezuela pageant that was held at the Poliedro de Caracas arena, opened on March 26, 1974.

Afternath

Controversy over foreign finalists

The edition was heavily criticized by the press and public opinion of the time due to the fact that the list of finalists was made up exclusively of foreign girls: Maritza Pineda (Colombian), María Conchita Alonso (Cuban), Yamel Díaz (Spanish), Helena Merlin (German) and Virginia Sipl (French).
