Politics of Chandigarh
[edit]Elections for the mayor and the councillors for each ward of the Municipal Corporation Chandigarh[1] is a major part of the local politics. Pawan Kumar Bansal is the Member of Parliament[2] for Lok Sabha from Chandigarh constituency.
Student Politics
[edit]As Punjab University is one of the prominent universities in Chandigarh, most of the colleges are affiliated to it. Following are some of the active student organizations[3] in the region.
