Speedy deletion nomination of File:Netajiincellular.JPG
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:Netajiincellular.JPG requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}
) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Adding reference on wiki articles
[edit]Hello Legaleagle86! Please do not forget to add references for the content you add to Wikipedia. Adding a well formatted references is very easy to do.
- While editing any article or a wikipage, on the top of the edit window you will see a toolbar which says "cite" click on it
- Then click on "templates",
- Choose the most appropriate template and fill as many details as you can,
This will add a well formatted reference that would be helpful in case the website link (web URL) becomes inactive (dead/link rot) after some time. You can read more about it on Help:Edit toolbar or see this video File:RefTools.ogv. thanks and regards --DBigXray 12:33, 25 June 2012 (UTC)

File source problem with File:Kahuta.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:Kahuta.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.
If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Bulwersator (talk) 05:53, 26 August 2012 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (File:Comparison of digital manipulation of spirit scene.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Comparison of digital manipulation of spirit scene.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:35, 4 September 2012 (UTC)
Non-free rationale for File:Shabeg1.gif
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Shabeg1.gif. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. [edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Alok Joshi, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Intelligence Bureau (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Copying content
[edit]Hello,
This is just a friendly note to inform you that when you copy text from one Wikipedia article to another, you have to document it or it becomes a copyright violation (due to the term of the CC-BY-SA license text is under). The easiest way to do this is to place a {{copied}} template on both source and destination pages. I have taken care of it for you in this case, but figured you should know for future reference. For more information, see WP:Copying within Wikipedia
Thanks, ThaddeusB (talk) 21:21, 5 March 2013 (UTC)
- thanks, to say the truth I didnt know this. Also I think that we should move the violence part from the shahbag article to the 2013 bangladesh protest article. LegalEagle (talk) 21:23, 5 March 2013 (UTC)
- I agree that a summary of the violent counter protest should remain in the shahbag article, however the violence bit should be allowed to develop seprately as because lumping the two protests would give wrong info to international readers (I got confused few days ago), for example at present the shahbah article in its infobox states that there were 81 fatalities. However this is not true as the protests at shahbag were non violent and peaceful. Therefore if we have a seperate article on bangladesh protest which has a dedicated section on violent counter protest and a summary of the shahbag protest then both the articles can develop on its own pace. Imatinib and evergreening
[edit]Hi Legaleagle... first let me say "well done" on the article on the imatinib case. I think it is well-suited to the DYK section and am glad to see that it has also made it into the ITN section. I hope you don't mind my observing, however, that there are some scientific errors in what you have been saying. I understand you are working on a PhD in law, so I don't doubt your expertise on the legal side of evergreening but that area also turns at times on scientific / chemical issues. I have a PhD in chemistry so if you ever want someone to look over evergreening from the science side please feel free to ask me or to post at the Chemistry WikiProject. I would also be happy to try to explain for you some of the chemical issues, if that would be helpful. Kind Regards, EdChem (talk) 08:37, 7 April 2013 (UTC)
PS: I have edited your user page as the link to leave you a message was adding a section to a redirect page instead of to this talk page. You might also want to review this history for other messages that you may have missed. EdChem (talk) 08:45, 7 April 2013 (UTC)
- Hi, thanks for the edits on the novartis v UoI article, last time I studied chem was 8 years ago, my knowledge now is at best rusty (most of the chemistry in the article is paraphrased from the submissions and casefiles), its great to find someone who is interested in the science side of evergreening (unfortunately very few of scientists are interested in law and even fewer lawyers are interested in the science). Please do continue updating the novartis v UoI article and I would add some more legal ref. Thanks for the alt hooks in the ITN nomination and for correcting my user page link. LegalEagle (talk) 10:45, 7 April 2013 (UTC)
- It's no problem... I started out studying science and law but ultimately gave up on the law studies, but I retain an interest in both. Evergreening of patents is an area where I have strong feelings and I believe the Indian laws against it are fundamentally good ideas. Incidentally, in the Novartis v UoI article, there is mention of invention being non-obvious to experts... shouldn't that be non-obvious to non-experts? Thanks, EdChem (talk) 13:02, 7 April 2013 (UTC)
- section 3(d) of the Indian Patent Act is quite unique in the world, there have been scores of academic works analysing its legality especially in light of TRIPS. The general consensus is it does stop evergreening and TRIPS give enough leeway for such variations, if you are interested in evergreening from an Indian perspective concentrate on controversies surrounding section 3(d). As for non-obviousness or inventive step - it should be seen/analysed from the perspective of a person skilled in the art (experts) in light of available knowledge (prior art). The rationale for the test being of experts and not non experts is patent protection should not be given for frivolous incremental innovations. LegalEagle (talk) 13:33, 7 April 2013 (UTC)

Nice job with Novartis v. Union of India & Others. It looks like I'm late to the "good job" party, but either way, really impressive. Great work
[edit]Thanks for creating Novartis v. Union of India & Others, this is the best written article in Wikipedia on an Indian case law. If you find time, you may consider developing the article Indian patent law, which is a mere stub and lacks even the basic information. Regards, Amartyabag TALK2ME 04:31, 26 April 2013 (UTC)
- Hi Amartya, thanks for the kind words (there were couple of other editors too who worked on the article - edchem was esp good with his chem knowledge). Will definitely look into patent law; I recently created a stub Saradha Group financial scandal, bit busy for a couple of days, will have free time on sunday, do you want to collaborate. It is by far the biggest ponzi scam in India and IMO with a bit of sprucing up can be nominated for ITN. Do share your views. LegalEagle (talk) 08:58, 26 April 2013 (UTC)

Saradha scandal
[edit]I knew earlier there was no article, but actually I have no information to make the article. It is good that you are improving the article. It lacks much information about the alleged TMC leaders each of which deserves a separate article. Like Srinjoy Bose have no article. I think ti cover the article wikipedia needs a professional journalist. And reply here I will be watching. Solomon7968 (talk) 10:06, 27 April 2013 (UTC)
- To keep the article as NPOV as possible, I would tend to focus more on the facts, law and progression of fraud rather than on political connections. I am sure its an important issue but I guess other editors would also chip in and fill up the gap. Having a journalist would be good but most wiki articles are written by people like us, so why dont we try and fix it up. What I intend to do tomorrow is to divide the article into following background, modus, top people, fallout and response. If you are willing expand the section on top people and their alleged involvement (as the matter is politically v sensitive pls do use as many ref as possible, the newspapers are having lots of good article, ref them extensively) and I would look at the background and modus. If the article has some semblance of order I would nominate it for ITN tomorrow night.LegalEagle (talk) 10:14, 27 April 2013 (UTC)
- I think to cover the article extensively we need articles on the individual biographies of:
- Kunal Ghosh: The wiki article is about a footballer
- Srinjoy Bose
- Subhaprasanna Bhattacharjee: As per today's news in 24 Ghanta he is involved with Saradha Group
- Rice Group: Coaching institute signed a deal with Saradha Group
- Sanchaita financial scam: first big scam in West Bengal
- and many other artices. I will try as much as I can Solomon7968 (talk) 10:29, 27 April 2013 (UTC)

I created the article on Abdur Razzaq Malihabadi who was the father of Rajya Sabha TMC MP Saeed Malihabadi the editor of Urdu daily Azad Hind before it was brought by Saradha Group. Please help to integrate it to other articles on wikipedia and add any information you get. My next target is to collect information on Amitava Nandy a Communist Party of India (Marxist) MLA who is the brother of Samit Roy the owner of Rice Group and adding the connection of Rice Group and Saradha Group. You have done a great staff of improving the article on Saradha Group though it needs more Information. I think wikipedia also needs a article on the Abj Group pullout from Haldia and the involvement of RIPLEY & CO. Solomon7968 (talk) 21:42, 29 April 2013 (UTC)
