Kp2149 Dedicated to the importance of access to knowledge about African descended people, she attended the original AfroCrowd meet up in February 2015. She also attended the HaitiCrowd meet up in March 2015.

Previously she attended Barnard College, majoring in Economics and Africana Studies, focusing on women and labor. She has also been a recipient of the Schomburg-Mellon fellowship at the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture.
