Impulse City is a business is located in Hyattsville, MD founded by Sara Nelkin and Keith Nelkin in the fall of 2010. They focus on educational programming for kids and adults that includes visual arts, theater, sports, games, field trips, technology, and more. Their camps and structured programming is mostly for children ages 3-12.
Impulse City has been a local phenomenon with some of their videos being very popular and large audiences from the community have shown up for their local children's theater. The 24 hour shows that they ran for Eleanor Roosevelt's High school have also been a big hit in Greenbelt, MD and the general D.C. Area.
Impulse City serves and is supported by a group of large nurturing communities including University Park, Hyattsville, College Park, Riverdale Park, Greenbelt, Takoma Park, Silver Spring, and Washington D.C.
