Eightfold.ai is a privately held technology company based in Mountain View, California. Eightfold offers a SaaS platform that enables recruiters and hiring managers to use artificial intelligence to enhance talent acquisition, talent retention, diversity and inclusion programs, and career sites.
History
[edit][Ashutosh Garg] and Varun Kacholia founded Eightfold.ai in September 2016[1] after raising seed funding. The company offers a Talent Intelligence Platform, a system for talent management at mid-size and enterprise organizations based on artificial intelligence and machine learning.
The company’s stated focus covers three areas:
- Talent Management via Artificial Intelligence – The ability to use artificial intelligence to review resumes, databases, and other candidate resources rapidly and at massive scale in order to help organizations find the best talent available while also supporting internal career growth and diversity programs
- Personalization – Proactive talent identification and job matching based on skills and future potential to help recruiters and hiring managers match talent to opportunities with greater speed and accuracy, as well as retain valued current employees
- Data Enrichment at Scale – Analysis across large volumes of enterprise talent data and publicly available information to improve talent management
Dr. Garg came to Eightfold after working on search and personalization at both Google and IBM Research. Mr. Kacholia previously worked on ranking at Google, search at YouTube, and the News Feed at Facebook. The two co-founders account for more than 6000 research citations and over 80 search and personalization patents[2][3].
The company most recently completed a Series B funding round for $18 million in April of 2018 led by Lightspeed Venture Partners and Foundation Capital[4][5].
Customers and Partnerships
[edit]Eightfold launched the first version of its platform in March 2018[6][7]. The company currently reports over 100 North American and international customers, with more than 20 million applications processed.
The company is a partner with SAP SuccessFactors, as well as Shaker Recruitment Marketing, Alexander Mann Solutions, Oracle Taleo, Tech Mahindra, McKinsey & Company, Deloitte, and KPMG, among others.
Products
[edit]Eightfold’s Talent Intelligence Platform comprises the following modules based on the company’s artificial intelligence technology:
- Talent Acquisition – Highly automated solution for recruiting from sourcing through offer, with artificial intelligence–enhanced tools to source, screen, engage, and schedule candidates efficiently
- Talent Diversity – Solution to prevent bias by gender, educational institution, age, ethnicity, and other measures from influencing hiring decisions
- Talent Management – Solution to increase retention with employee-directed internal mobility, proactive recognition of flight-risk employees, employee career coaching, and tools for the organization to map its employee skill sets
- Personalized Career Site[8] – A solution to increase the volume of qualified and diverse career site applications with automated matching of candidates to jobs and personalized job descriptions
Eightfold also develops integrations to merge its platform with major Applicant Tracking System (ATS), Human Resources Information System (HRIS), and Learning Management System (LMS) applications.
