MOHAMED SALAD AHMED (BARRE) Director, Chief of Staff Office to the 10th President of the Federal Republic of Somalia.

Biography

Mohamed is currently the Director of the Office of the Chief of Staff of the 10th President of the Federal Republic of Somalia. Mohamed was born in Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia, in 1996. He studied a Bachelor of Economics and Management at Somali National University (SNU) and also holds a master’s degree in finance & economic development. He is currently pursuing an MSc in Energy Economics and Governance at UPeace University.

He is highly skilled in policy development, strategic planning, and financial management, with extensive experience in both the government and educational sectors. Since Feb 2018, he officially proclaims that Mr. Mohamed has served in the Presidency. During his tenure in this critical role, he worked with six (6) chiefs of staff and 4 Deputy Chiefs of Staff. Mohamed has shown himself to be a tireless and dependable asset to the office. according to his work file stored in the Department of Human Resource & Development of the Presidency Federal Republic of Somalia. He is an honorable employee of his profession, limited to his day-to-day work, and deserves to be promoted regularly, as evidenced by the various positions he has held in the Office of the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia.

Previous tasks include former acting Deputy Director of the Planning & Policy Department of the presidency. Head of Planning Department of Policy and Planning of the Presidency. Focal point on visas of the Presidency. Secretary of Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidency. Secretary General of the 59, 60, & 61st Anniversary of the Independence Days of Somalia. Secretary of the Advisory Department of the Presidency. And assistant to the National Economic Council, FGS.

He is affable, personable, and has good interpersonal and team relations abilities. He has proven interpersonal communication and multi-tasking skills. As an economist, I ensure that value and accountability mechanisms, such as program monitoring, evaluation policies, and business and project requirements, are in place to complete work on time and within budget without compromising quality. Field and Country Experience: Knowledge of substantial work experience of NGOs, IGOs, and other government activities in Somalia, culturally experienced. In-depth awareness of international, regional, national, sub-national, and community institutions, systems, and policies. Experience in public, private, and financial sector program administration, coordination, monitoring, and assessment. Qualification highlights: He is an organizer, able-administrator, speaker, manager, resourceful spearhead, outgoing and results-driven with solid team-building skills rooted in integrity with a visionary approach, strong commitment to social and economic issues, skilled oral and written communicator of sensitive information, recognized knowledge, skills, and abilities to assist and empower challenging populations, expert in legislative advocacy, policy analysis, and an expert with extensive PR experience.
