Speedy deletion nomination of RHEA CHAKRABORTY
You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.
A tag has been placed on RHEA CHAKRABORTY requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Salih (talk) 13:25, 14 December 2009 (UTC)

Original research; Multiple accounts
On 24 September 2010 User:Harrybrowne1986 added what appears to be original research to the page List of unsolved problems in linguistics. I removed those additions and noted as much at User talk:Harrybrowne1986.
In so doing, I noticed that that talk page had been made a redirect to this one on 11 June 2010, apparently per your request at Wikipedia:Changing username/Simple/Archive79#Harrybrowne1986 → Vishal Bakhai. If you have a reason to edit with both user names, this should be disclosed on the associated user pages. See Wikipedia:Sock puppetry for details. Cnilep (talk) 01:57, 25 September 2010 (UTC)

Epidamnus
Thank you for your contribution. However, I believe you are mistaken. In the 'second attack' section, you are referring to Demtrius' attack in the Second Illyrian War. However, it is in fact a reference to the second attack on Epidamnus during the First Illyrian War, under Teuta. The Illyrians attacked Epidamnus once in Spring 229 BC but were defeated and so set sail for Corcyra. After defeating the Greeks at Corcyra and Paxi, they sailed back up to Epidamnus and attacked it a second time later in 229 BC, but instead of a battle a siege took place. The Illyrians besieged the city until the Romans arrived in southern Illyria, at which point they fled from the city as the Romans approached. I will add citations to all this. If you are interested, my sources are Polybius and Gruen: First attack on Epdiamnus, Second attack on Epidamnus, Gruen's report, based on Polybius.--Ujkrieger (talk) 19:55, 18 April 2014 (UTC)

Hello, Harrybrowne1986. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.
All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.
If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:
- Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
- Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
- Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.
Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.
For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. NeilN talk to me 17:33, 27 April 2014 (UTC)
Your archiving was not done quite correctly. Are you going to fix it or shall I? --NeilN talk to me 18:15, 27 April 2014 (UTC)
- Which one are you referring to? Mine or HSBC, as I am also kind of in doubt to the HSBC one. Please let me know. In case you see that the HSBC one is not correctly archived, please do so, and let me know too, as I am new to Archiving.
Also, hope you did not mind my earlier choice of word. Did not mean to say anything wrong there.
I have now completed the original talk & archive pages, have a look, and if required update properly.
Thanks a lot mate. :)
- I fixed the archive on this talk page earlier [1]. I will fix the HSBC talk archive. It will involve deleting the archive page you set up and then setting up a robot to do the archiving automatically. That ok with you? --NeilN talk to me 18:30, 27 April 2014 (UTC)

Hello! I am rather surprised to see a response so quick after I created a page. I almost thought you were an auto-response bot. I started this page as an assignment from my school, but I've taken genuine interest in 'scaber Thunb' now. I think I'll continually expand the article. Thanks for removing the punctuation mark at the title by the way. I forgot about that.

Misplaced Speedy
I'm not sure if perhaps you accidentally marked the wrong page, but the attempt to speedy delete User talk:BravadoGroup under CSD:U5 is off the mark. This is a user talk page being used for the things that a user talk page is normally used for... thus far, welcoming the user and informing the user that one of his pages has been PRODded. In no way is that using it as a general webhost. Could you review your edit and remove the speedy tag? --19:22, 11 May 2014 (UTC)

Recent edits
Hi, can I offer you some advice about a few of your recent edits?
- I see you have requested autopatrolled and reviewer right with exactly the same text over at WP:PERM. When requesting rights, you need to make it clear in your request why you are requesting the permission. Requesting two rights with the same text brings up a red flag, as it can be a sign of hat collecting. Additionally, from what you have said in the reason, I suspect you have little idea about what each right allows you to do.
- Probably just a simple mistake, but you created this user page with a warning that should be on the user's talk page. Do not worry; I have fixed the error for you.
- Additionally, I noticed at WP:UAA you "requesting both ID's for deletion". Please note that accounts can not currently be deleted; They can merely be blocked. Additionally, you do not need to request the user is blocked; By making a request on that page, that is exactly what you are doing!
Thanks, --Mdann52talk to me! 17:59, 25 May 2014 (UTC)
- Hello and thanks for the fix.
I acknowledge what you are saying, however, I was trying to delete the Patrol request (blank it and edit summaries), but due to my browser (which is giving me quite some troubles for last couple of days), I was unable to do so. I am not blanking it any more, as you have commented there, and I am just leaving a message asking to cancel the request.
For the User Talk page, I created the request by mistake via TW instead of the user ID. I just require Review access due to the following reasons:
- I do quite good contributions to most of the articles, and those are concrete ones.
- I am currently getting review or unreviewed tags on recent changes page, and would like to exercise this right to fight vandalism as I do always.
- Why can't they delete the accounts as in the other Wiki's? It is like those people who will continue to trouble others with their works. Nothing to you, just showing my anger over these users and others. :(
Thanks again for the assistance. Danke Schôn. Vishal Bakhai - Works 20:20, 25 May 2014 (UTC)

Hello again,
I'm giving you a heads-up that I removed your name from the AfC backlog drive list. I did this because to be an AfC reviewer you are expected to sign up here, but you have not done so, and with fewer than 500 mainspace edits, you are not eligible to do so. I'm glad that you are keen to help out, but before you do please read the instructions and relevant policies, and come back when you meet the criteria. Just out of pure curiosity, why do you 'thank' in German? Prefering it over Hindi/Gujarati... Abhinav—Ŧ— 19:53, 12 June 2014 (UTC)
- It is nothing like sticking to German, as such, I was thinking of "Jai Jinendra", but then people would start asking what does it mean and all, and as of few days, I am not too active (due to loads of work and over time at office), and might be late in replying, and I find that kind of absurd at times. Thus. I was anyways thinking for few days, if I should start "Jai Jinendra" also on WB. On WB I am contributing to German book, and thus got stuck with the word Danke Schôn.
- Are you Gujju?
- Jai Jinendra. Vishal Bakhai - Works 09:38, 13 June 2014 (UTC)
— Quite a story behind it! Although, a bit more evident reason behind not using 'Jai Jinendra", as I suspect, would be that it's use is more like a greeting rather than expressing gratitude, especially in sole cases of 'thank'. But that's another thing.
- No, I am a Marathi. But I'll stick to the English .
- Secondly, Congrats on you approval as a reviewer! Rarely does someone get that right with <500 edits. You must really be strenous with your observation and time on WP.
Jai Jinendra!for here Abhinav—Ŧ— 12:19, 13 June 2014 (UTC).
- Thanks for the compliment and wishes. I am not such a strenous one actually. You might like to read the point which I gave at my reviewer request. I knew I would never create any articles, and moreover I am more likely to do edits and contribute to better the article.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
