The Gutian invasion of the Akkadian Empire was the last stepping stone for the fall of the Akkadian Empire. The Gutians, a nomadic people group who existed during the bronze age native to the Zagros mountains and east Mesopotamia in a area called Gutium(Sumerian: šš šš , GutÅ«mKI or šš¾šš , GutiumKI).[1] In 2218 BCE, the Gutians had established themselves in Sumer by invading the Akkadian Empire.[2][3]And in 2083 BCE, they are blamed for the fall of the Akkadian Empire.
