DYK for Door to Hell
[edit]On 1 November 2012, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Door to Hell, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that the Door to Hell (pictured) has been blazing since 1971? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Door to Hell. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

- Thanks for the barnstar and fabulous picture and hook. It made it to WP:DYKBEST.--Redtigerxyz Talk 16:18, 2 November 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks a lot for the Barnstar, different from the ordinary. Probably you already know that Door to Hell got a little more than 26,000 hits. Congrats, as it is our maximum count so far. I am concentrating now on Varanasi and delayed finalizing the Mahabalipuram articles. Incidentally, the review comment on DYK page below the Izena Island the world (slapped tags on the article) is insulting (probably by the same user who first reviewed Honiara). I thought you could rebut the best, if you feel like. Thanks.--Nvvchar. 18:41, 2 November 2012 (UTC)
I also searched but could not find WP:DYKBEST. The reference leads to the list of articles with more than 25,000 hits, probably he meant Door to Hell.--Nvvchar. 18:50, 2 November 2012 (UTC)
- Probably he meant the count for Naraka which is about 80,000 hits as it tops the list.--Nvvchar. 18:53, 2 November 2012 (UTC)

A barnstar for you!
[edit]The Special Barnstar
This barnstar is awarded to you in appreciation of your submission to the WP:2012 main page redesign proposal. The straw poll has now closed (see results), but the discussion continues on the talk page – hope to see you there! Evad37 (talk) 00:25, 1 November 2012 (UTC) |
Thanks, but Sven's slight adjustment of my design actually received 85%, higher than even Pretzel's who of course created his design very early on, mine came very late... Anyway, I hope whoever changes the main page will consider an enlarged FA photo and "adverts" on wikipedia editing and a more stylish header. ♦ Dr. ☠ Blofeld 11:19, 1 November 2012 (UTC)
Put a Lydian it
[edit]Dr. B.!
In my ignorance, I neglected to mention that Ralph Patt studied with George Russell (composer) and helped to edit Russell's book on the Lydian mode.
Apparently, the 1959 book thanks Patt. Perhaps you have it? Kiefer.Wolfowitz 00:58, 1 November 2012 (UTC)

- Ryan,
- I've tried to be gentle about this, but MY ARTICLES COME FIRST! Your courses be damned! ;P Kiefer.Wolfowitz 13:48, 1 November 2012 (UTC)
- My apologies master. So, my assumption was that you were referring to Lydian chromatic concept of tonal organization. You might still be referring to that, but my version is copyrighted from 2001 and doesn't show any older copyrights. No mention of Platt is made in the acknowledgements of that book. Do I have the wrong book or is the year wrong? Is there anything you'd like scanned from the book? Ryan Vesey 20:16, 1 November 2012 (UTC)
- Apparently the book came out in 1959. Discussion with Patt, Another discussion crediting Patt Patt seems to have been warm and wise and generous in many jazz-guitar discussions. (Having a daughter has helped me relax about the lives of young people. I used to give advice to Ryan to stay away from Wikipedia when he has a chance to think and write with serious intellects at U. Penn.) Kiefer.Wolfowitz 22:30, 1 November 2012 (UTC)

DYK for Marrakesh
[edit]On 1 November 2012, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Marrakesh, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that in 2009, when Fatima-Zahra Mansouri was elected mayor of Marrakech, she became only the second woman in Morocco's history to be elected mayor of a Moroccan city? You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. Eagle eyes
[edit]I have nominated the rest of the four articles of Marrakech. I have put text here Eagle eyes, of course most reliable references ( we have been collaborating for nearly three years now and written hundreds of articles). I introduced two book references in Varanasi article, which are really good. I will also add some text now.--Nvvchar. 22:05, 1 November 2012 (UTC)
You can see this also Myopia in animals for more inputs if available. Rosie is busy with her family. Do you know that Door to Hell got about 26,298 hits in DYK? Congrats for choosing that subject. Varanasi will need lot of inputs almost in every section. I have added a little in the lead , hisorty and temples from my DYK of 2009 on Sapta Puri and also also from Sankatmochan Hanuman Temple and Kashi Vishawanath temple. It will take a while to add text from books and reliable official sources for other sections. --Nvvchar. 05:45, 2 November 2012 (UTC)

"The most unwanted music"
[edit]Not sure if you saw this when it originally hit Wired in 2008. Try listening to the whole thing in the background while working. Mid page is the stream. Listen here. I like the numerous blended opera/rap sections in particular. I think it is around 20 minutes long. Anyone stalking your page is also obligated to listen to the entire piece. Help with user creating tons of articles.
[edit]User:Banhtrung1 has been creating a ton of athletic articles such as Mamed Batyrov and Yujiro Hidaka. The problem being is that they all are cookie cutter and don't give an actual reference. The reference goes to a general page of all competitions at the Asian games. I asked them to stop and put in an actual reference to past articles, but they continued creating articles. Not to mention it takes me longer to add in Defaultsort and proper valued in the talk page than it takes them to create the page. What should be my next move? - In the whale article, one reference was redundant as it related to the Onasis's stool in his yacht (the text was removed), which I have now deleted. In the other reference, now ref 5, the title and name of author was right but the url was wrong, which I have corrected now. I suppose it is fine now. I did not know that you had included my name also in the nomination. Will you kindly look into the Izena Island review and sort it out (I have tried) and the other is the Fatima, Mayor of Marrakech article which also needs your attention since there is lot of confusion about the years.--Nvvchar. 18:19, 5 November 2012 (UTC)

- I trust I won't be alone in hoping this is temporary. I don't think I have all the facts, but if I understand some of them, you are concerned that you are in an editing dispute with a former admin who just asked for the tools back. It would be absurd to assume that the timing is coincidental. However, I would remind you that an admin is prohibited from using the tools in a content dispute, so if the editor in question were to block you, or fully protect the article, either action would be quickly reversed. I've only glanced at the subject of the dispute, and I think both sides have some strong held positions, neither of which can be easily dismissed. It looks to me like a good faith content dispute, (mostly, although some of the editor directed comments by both parties are unfortunate) and I hope it is worked out as an content dispute. --SPhilbrick(Talk) 22:09, 6 November 2012 (UTC)
- Its not over the content dispute. I disagreed with the tags he added because the article is actually verifiable and the reporting of paranormal activity is widely covered in reliable books, regardless of whether we believe ghosts are fact or fiction. I actually agreed with a lot of his edits, especially some of the sources and putting mention of pseudo science in one paragraph and took care earlier today to try to modify it. But it was the way he used 3 accounts including his IP to revert as if it was support from different editors, continue to plaster the tags even though the issues he had raised had actually been addressed, and then in the wake of conflict to be granted full restoration of admin rights with little more than a blink of an eye which it appeared he intended to use to his advantage. He claims to be innocent of both socking and intent to misuse tools, if so, isn't this extremely odd timing to return to wikipedia after a 4 year leave and start constructive editing and use of tools? It saddens me that nobody was willing to question his reasons for wanting to have his tools restored because "policy considers it irrelevant". The policy seriously needs a reconsideration, at the very least editors who've not been here for 4 years and have been desyopped for inactivity over a long period should at least have to undergo a trial for a month or so to regain their tools and the context in which they return should also be taken into consideration. Moneypenny can book you a decent holiday, you know - probably not GibraltaQ, but Alcatraz can be just all too ectoplasmic this time of year, I always find. Martinevans123 (talk) 22:12, 6 November 2012 (UTC) yours, fully fatigued already, "SudoCream". p.s. do Pokemons have ghosts?
- ::sigh:: I know it's not the content dispute. Was I 'that unclear?--SPhilbrick(Talk) 01:59, 7 November 2012 (UTC)
Its suspicious.♦ Dr. ☠ Blofeld 22:50, 6 November 2012 (UTC)

- But there aren't really any ghosts, are they? It's scary enough walking out in the dark without having to worry about ghosts. There's no such thing, right? Or if there are, don't they keep them locked up in Alcatraz or somewhere else safe? Ghosts are spooky. Aymatth2 (talk) 00:43, 7 November 2012 (UTC)
- I'm sickened by what has happened here: a total and inexcusable whitewash based on the lowest cover your arse strategy followed by a case of arming the vandals / jobs for the boys. It's a stitch up job, Doc, of the most monumental stupidity, arrogance and head-up-arseness I've seen for a while. It's a shame that it's led to the retirement of one of the best editors on Wiki and that there is one more fully armed vandal with a god complex who wants to stamp their POV on articles, regardless of the sources, regardless of the procedures and regardless of consensus. I can only hope your absence will be temporary. - SchroCat (^ • @) 04:45, 7 November 2012 (UTC)
- FWIW, I really do appreciate Doc's frustration here. That an absentee contributor can return after four years and automatically regain the mop is incredible, given how much has changed in that time. From what I can see, the basis for reinstatement as an admin is the outcome of an RfC. Since when have RfCs been binding? Since when has common sense and WP:IAR counted for nothing? This place is going to the dogs. - Sitush (talk) 09:42, 7 November 2012 (UTC)
- A great pity a rather stupid dispute about ghosts has come so far. It's almost as if the ghosts themselves have succeeded in frightening away one of our very best contributors. I can only hope that after a few days rest we'll once again be able to benefit from the tremendous competence and enthusiasm you have untiringly put into your editing. On the more positive side, it is to be hoped that this incident will lead to a revision of the existing "rules" (or dogma?) which seem to have evolved in an atmosphere of nirvana. --Ipigott (talk) 09:54, 7 November 2012 (UTC)

The main thing we are doing here is sharing the world's information with its rightful heirs. There are a number of things that make this difficult and others who just make it difficult. The comradeship is what makes it fun sometimes. There are some great people here with thousands of edits on talk pages. No!
[edit]No! I don't like it. Here's what I say:
- The ghost thing isn't fringe, and your path is to get support at talk.
- The tags were inappropriate.
- We all love you.
- Separate the two things: A) He did stuff at Alcatraz that you didn't like. B) He got tools back.
- Neither A nor B alone are enough to leave in protest over. You are doing it, I think, because you feel they're connected and that he's going to use tools as a weapon to win the Alcatraz war? No way. Never happen. If that did happen, legions would come to your rescue.
- So, you're allowing the actions of this editor to have such a huge impact on your life, and the project you care so much about: The future is Wikipedia without your improvements and a huge change in your life. Don't let anybody, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever affect you that way!
- You are Dr. Blofeld. You do not hand victory to others. You are all powerful, a master of evil, not one to be trifled with. Dr. Blofeld plans, figures things out, and endures. Dr. Blofeld does not leave in a huff!
- Resume editing this instant! I want that "Retired" notice gone by the time I next click my watchlist. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 23:01, 7 November 2012 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Ferio Desert
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Ferio Desert requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Bonkers The Clown (talk) 07:20, 9 November 2012 (UTC)

Dr. Blofeld made his first edits on 14 June 2006. The article that was nominated was created on 30 June 2006. Hence probably the Twinkle error. Obviously, the page should never have been nominated for speedy deletion, it was perfectly clear what the subject of the article was, even though it was very short. Having six years of history, and 10 interwikilinks, are also indications that speedy was perhaps not the best option here. Fram (talk) 14:09, 9 November 2012 (UTC)
- Yup, maybe I have failed to understand A1. Burj its really sooo short. Just one sentence! If that doesn't qualify for A1, what does? Bonkers The Clown (talk) 14:32, 9 November 2012 (UTC)
- From WP:CSD#A1: Example: "He is a funny man with a red car. He makes people laugh." That sentence provides no context about what the subject of the article is (Who is "he"?), whereas Ferio Desert stated that it was a desert, providing context. Legoktm (talk) 14:35, 9 November 2012 (UTC)

- Agreed. Particularly now that some witless bozo who will go unnamed, because I don't like insulting myself, is going through the Bibliography of encyclopedias and adding some from the reference book he is clearly abusing. Several of those listed in the book seem to be in the public domain now, and I think there is a chance, once I finish the Judaism section in Religion, that some of those I add to the list in other sections, and I'm starting with those in the public domain, might be useful to help establish notability and basic content about some individual articles from less often discussed parts of the world. I would hate to see you retire just when, maybe, if I can get to them all, one of your personal goals might become a bit more achievable. John Carter (talk) 23:20, 11 November 2012 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use File:PeterYang.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:PeterYang.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that this media item is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails the first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media item could be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media item is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and edit it to add
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template. - On the file discussion page, write the reason why this media item is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. VernoWhitney (talk) 18:26, 26 November 2012 (UTC)

DYK for Ferlo Desert
[edit]On 27 November 2012, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Ferlo Desert, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that the Ferlo Desert occupies one-third of Senegal's total area? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Ferlo Desert. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

Welcome back
[edit]Having been in hiding for four months I wasn't aware you'd vanished too. Anyway, the lure of Wikipedia was too strong; I couldn't keep away, and am glad to find you in residence. I nearly fell off my chair when I read your adjective for me at the top of the page, and I must register a protest! Be that as it may, I look forward to working with you as we have worked before - for the greater good of the encyclopedia and in the face of the demons' chorus of trolls, bullies and know-besters. Best regards. Tim riley (talk) 15:06, 27 November 2012 (UTC)

- Ah, I see - on the whole a pity, I think. Andrew Charles Stewart was Fram's example of one of doubtful notability. Maybe it is borderline, though I found it interesting. Not sure. As you say, it's much more work to expand properly beyond the one-source stub - I'd followed you around a bit adding Who's Who, to make stubs like John Drinkall a bit less spindly. Re:Maison Novelli
[edit]Managed to get the coordinates to come up. Note sure what I did, but I used Rhodes 24 as a baseline as I knew they showed there. Seems to work anyhow! I think we've got a fair shot at a fair use image although I'm having trouble even finding one of those.
Funny you should bring this one to my attention, my wife did a cooking course with Laura Amos (an up and coming baker who has just had a new cookbook come out) and it turns out she did her work experience at Maison Novelli. So there you go. :) Actually, while I'm thinking of it, I'm just going to check her book doesn't make any reference to the restaurant... Miyagawa (talk) 19:52, 28 November 2012 (UTC)

archive.org
[edit]Not sure if you've ever been to the above site, but the material it contains is to my eyes kinda beyond scary. Maybe even more so than you and your rather mind-boggling productivity. And it does look like most of it is public domain as well. John Carter (talk) 21:55, 28 November 2012 (UTC)
- I think you will find that it is all PD. They host the Wayback Machine also, which is useful for resolving deadlinks. The problem with the PD stuff is that often it is outdated, although obviously that does not mean it lacks usefulness for everything. The other problem is that their search mechanism is weird, I think primarily because the input is coming from so many places and the categorisation system is interpreted differently by the various contributors. Nothing new there, then! Btw, when I link to archive.org I always link to the landing page for a document. It is my opinion that this gives people the option to choose in which format they would like to view the source - a lot of the stuff is available in a wide range of formats.
The is another useful site - a fair amount of the content hosted there is restricted/limited view to me here in the UK but I suspect that it is more open to US-based people. In any event, even here, things turn up that are not at archive.org. - Sitush (talk) 23:55, 28 November 2012 (UTC)
- I mentioned it because at least one reference work I am intending to add to WikiSource, the old Encyclopedia of Religion and Ethics, is on it. That source was, in at least one review of the later Encyclopedia of Religion, issued in 1985, said to, even with the changes over time, still be better than the newer book, and some of its articles were described in reviews as being perhaps the best things ever written on some topics. Admittedly, a lot of it is going to be clearly dated, but for older subjects which have become less prominent given later developments, many or most of which will not have changed much over the intervening years, they can provide some really useful information, and possibly serve as at least a start on content related to those topics, if they aren't covered here yet. - Is that the James Hastings book? - Sitush (talk) 00:23, 29 November 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah. I was kind of surprised by the high praise it received myself, but at least some of the articles on Buddhism were said to be the best things the reviewer of the Eliade EoR said were the best things ever written. I don't know how many other sources like that might be out there of similar high regard, but I imagine there may well be others. I think User:DGG might know best what other reference sources in the PD might be most useful to us here. John Carter (talk) 00:40, 29 November 2012 (UTC)
- He's not bad at all. I'm in no position to comment on the detail but he is still cited and much of it that can be connected to India corresponds to modern sources for that area even when he is not cited. There is always an exception to the rule. Erm, is there an exception to the rule that says there is always an exception to the rule? - Sitush (talk) 00:44, 29 November 2012 (UTC)

- Is that the James Hastings book? - Sitush (talk) 00:23, 29 November 2012 (UTC)
The great effort fructifying into a well deserved medal is in the offing. One more article Monegros Desert towards that achievement is complete for nomination.--Nvvchar. 08:38, 29 November 2012 (UTC)
Thankyou both, likewise.♦ Dr. ☠ Blofeld 10:54, 29 November 2012 (UTC)
Img does not fit with the hook. I will do the QPQ tomorrow and also nominate Monegros Desert. I will also work on Laos articles (10 will take time) after I finish some of the Hinduism articles and also 14 articles I mentioned about the Mahabalipuram Temples/Monuments. I am feeling very tired today. --Nvvchar. 16:24, 29 November 2012 (UTC)

Hehe, did I try to cryogenically freeze you like Austin Powers and Ice-T?♦ Dr. ☠ Blofeld 13:58, 29 November 2012 (UTC)
- Yep! Now I can breath again. What would I do without my Big Brother. I hope the Maison Novelli DYK is the 1000th. I know it is somewhere near that number.--Doug Coldwell (talk) 14:58, 29 November 2012 (UTC)
Doubt it, with the articles since I've returned I still need another 10 or so.♦ Dr. ☠ Blofeld 15:21, 29 November 2012 (UTC)

[edit]The Did You Know ... that Dr. Blofeld has worked on almost 1000 DYK articles? award
Cheers! Rosiestep (talk) 19:02, 29 November 2012 (UTC) |
- Fabulous idea; let's do it. We could probably knock them out in a snap if we keep them tight/concise. I'll start reviewing the bunch, but if you have some particular ones in mind, chime in. --Rosiestep (talk) 19:49, 29 November 2012 (UTC)
- Welcome back Dr. Blofeld, sorry I'm so late in that welcome. I'm not seeing anything at WT:DYK about the possibility, but we should probably start discussion on the special DYK now so discussion can occur. Ryan Vesey 20:05, 29 November 2012 (UTC)
- Well it would be good to reach the 1000 milestone on Christmas Day? That would mean almost a month to write them and nominate and have approved for DYK? 18 articles on Provinces of Laos in total but sounds manageable as the vast majority are stubs and those which do contain content poorly written and need restarting. Jimbo suggested a single DYK appearing at once, an 18 article hook should suffice! ♦ Dr. ☠ Blofeld 20:10, 29 November 2012 (UTC)
Laos provinces
[edit]- Attapeu Province - started on it. There's more in the Laos 7 book. --Rosiestep (talk) 02:20, 30 November 2012 (UTC)
- Bokeo Province - started on it. --Rosiestep (talk) 03:38, 30 November 2012 (UTC)
- Bolikhamsai Province - started on it. --Rosiestep (talk) 04:22, 30 November 2012 (UTC)
- Vientiane Province - started work on it. There's more in the same book. --Rosiestep (talk) 20:20, 29 November 2012 (UTC)
As you have noted, I have added text and some imgs to the first two articles. But I introduced text in the lead as a common link with all the articles for the purpose of DYK only. It may be required. Take a view.--Nvvchar. 12:21, 30 November 2012 (UTC)
- Uploaded to wikicommons and posted in the article. Let me know the specific articles of provinces of Laos, which you want to be posted on DYK - 10 or 16. --Nvvchar. 14:33, 30 November 2012 (UTC)
Do we have a sandbox started for this project? If not, I'll get that going. --Rosiestep (talk) 17:53, 1 December 2012 (UTC)
Ok, I've started User:Rosiestep/sandbox/Laos provinces. Give me a bit to create sandboxes for each of the separate articles, i.e. don't work on the main space articles right now. --Rosiestep (talk) 18:26, 1 December 2012 (UTC)
You are Speedy Gonzales. Yup I'll do the moving and restoring right now. I think Nvv is working on one of the articles right now. Please notify him of what's up while I concentrate on the moves. --Rosiestep (talk) 18:34, 1 December 2012 (UTC)

Philip Slier article
[edit]I have recently added "Philip Slier" as Fair Use picture to Philip Slier article I now have as a DYK nomination. I am NOT using the picture for the DYK, just for the article. Does it affect the DYK nomination?--Doug Coldwell (talk) 22:24, 29 November 2012 (UTC)
- The reviewer will hopefully check that it has the proper licensing and FURs, but other than that, no. Legoktm (talk) 22:28, 29 November 2012 (UTC)
- Exactly. The article has too many images, though. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 22:29, 29 November 2012 (UTC)

- I seem to have trouble with that suggested Template with multiple references of same page throughout the article. See Ref #1 and #2. Can you show me. After I see how it is done, THEN I can get it from then on. Also same idea for PDF "Teacher's Guide" ref with different pages for this guide. If I am shown once, I believe I can get it from there. What picture? What license is the travel blog photo under?♦ Dr. ☠ Blofeld 11:34, 30 November 2012 (UTC)
- The one of the sign, I had emailed the author he was going to release it, plus one of the larger statue, but I couldn't find a picture of the statue. So I asked him to email me a copy of it, and I would sort out the OTRS stuff, but I haven't heard back from him. The picture on the Travel Blog doesn't actually have a licence attached to it. I know there are some on Flickr, I have seen previews of them in Google Search, but I can't access them to contact the creator. --kelapstick(bainuu) 12:33, 30 November 2012 (UTC)

Speedy request
[edit]Hola Dr.Blofeld, I think that this Kothris Museum of Modern Art should go, as 99,99% it does not exist. I have done all possible searches in Greek too. There is only a neoclassical Kothris Residence in Herakleion that has been proposed to become a Byzantine Museum, but from what I read there are politics against this proposal. If you would be so kind as speedy it, it would save some time in the AfD purgatory. Thank you. Hoverfish Talk 00:27, 30 November 2012 (UTC)

DYK for Royal Castle Hotel
[edit]On 30 November 2012, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Royal Castle Hotel, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that Agatha Christie, in her novel Ordeal by Innocence, used the location of Royal Castle Hotel as inspiration for characterizing the Royal George in the novel? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Royal Castle Hotel. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |
