Also known as The Rap Terrorist and #RapperTurntHacker, this Hip-hop recording artist, youth activist, web developer and instructor from Brooklyn, NY performs music across the country, writes code, and speaks publicly on Hip-hop history/culture and computer science. A graduate of The Flatiron School, his passion is introducing young people to the fundamental concepts of technology and entrepreneurship. Currently (2015) you can find Lavoisier teaching Web and Entrepreneurship for Harlem Children's Zone in NYC. [1] Several of his music videos are featured on Worldstarhiphop.com, ThisIs50.com and AllHipHop.com. One video, features a discussion between Lavoisier and a middle-school student body about the influence of Hip-hop music on young people, has over 700,000 views on YouTube and still receiving recognition and interest. [2] Additionally, in 2014 Lavoisier was mentioned on USAToday.com by activist and former White House special adviser Van Jones for his work in the world of start-up culture and focused attention on teaching kids how to code. [3] Lavoisier's mission is to empower young people and their families to create a better future for themselves through information, education, and other tools needed to succeed in the world of the future.
