Lingling Sirilak Kwong (Thai: ศิริลักษณ์ คอง), widely known as Lingling, is a Thai actress, model, and TV host under Thailand's Channel 3. Born on May 11, 1995, in Hong Kong, Lingling is of mixed Hong Kong-Thai heritage. She first gained widespread recognition in 2020 for her role in the TV drama “My Forever Sunshine”. By 2024, Lingling had firmly established herself as a versatile and admired actress, particularly with her lead performance as Dr. Fahlada Thananusak in “The Secret of Us”[1]. This groundbreaking series, which marked Channel 3's debut in GL dramas, highlighted Lingling's depth as an actress and her remarkable chemistry with co-star Kornnaphat Sethratanapong. Beyond her on-screen success, Lingling has broadened her influence as a sought-after brand ambassador, including her notable role as the face of Bangkok Bank M Visa, further cementing her status as a leading figure in Thai entertainment.
Early life
[edit]Lingling was born in Hong Kong and is of mixed Hong Kong-Thai descent. Her father is from Hong Kong, and her mother is from Kalasin Province, Thailand. She has one younger brother. Lingling grew up in Sau Mau Ping Estate, Kwun Tong District, Hong Kong. She graduated from St. Anthony's Primary School in 2007 and then attended Mu Kuang English School until she left in 2012. She returned to Thailand at 17 and enrolled in Kalasin Pittayasan School. After graduating from high school in 2014, she was admitted to the Tourism Management Department of Khon Kaen University International College, graduating in 2018. Lingling is fluent in Thai, Cantonese, Mandarin, and English.
Acting career
[edit]In 2018, Lingling gained fame by being selected as Miss Photogenic of Khon Kaen Year, which led to her auditioning for Thailand's Channel 3 and becoming an artist under the channel. In 2020, she starred in the TV drama “My Forever Sunshine,” playing the role as Ling, alongside Prin Suparat (Mark) and Supassara Thanachat (Kao). Later, in 2022, she took on her first leading role in the fantasy romance drama “Makkali The Love Tree,” playing as Theerak. In the same year, she co-hosted the TVB J2 shows “復刻古靈精怪東南亞：泰國篇 (Recreating the Strange Southeast Asia: Thailand),” and “冲遊泰國 (Chung Travel Thailand)” season 7 and 8 with Roger Wu Wai Chung.[2]
