About me
[edit]When I first joined Wikipedia, I wanted to keep my identity private. However, due to assumptions and accusations from the community, I feel it’s necessary to share a bit about myself.
First off, y’all can call me CycoMa.(You can pronounce my username however you like.) The origin of my username is honestly a mystery even to me, but I made it when I was a child. I’ve been contributing to Wikimedia since the late 2010s when I was a teenager. I was initially editing as an IP editor, then later creating my account in 2020.(I was 18 years old and recently graduated high school when I created this account.) I’m currently a university student expecting to earn my bachelor’s degree in 2025. I am kind of a nerdy frat boy lol.
Before I joined the project I guess you can say I was like most Zoomers. I had an interesting family history thought.
My mother is an accountant and my father was a former soldier and journalist who now works for the federal government. My mother came from a low income family and studied accounting. My father on the other hand came from a high earning family, primarily due to his mother being a head nurse after she graduated from Washington University in Saint Louis.
I was raised Catholic, though I later identified as agnostic due to some disagreements with many doctrines. I join the Boy Scouts of America, I eventually left the Boy Scouts due to bullying. I later joined the 4-H.
I became really active online once I entered middle school during the early 2010s. Most of my online activities where just your typical zoomer stuff; like failing at being a influencer multiple times, posting cringe, and doomscrolling through Wikipedia out of boredom.
I attended a high school mainly comprised of minority students, this provided me tons of perspectives about the world. While I was in high school I enrolled in a vocational school.(The classes at this vocational school were mostly computer and engineering related) Around this time, I converted to Buddhism and gained an interest in religion/spirituality. My interest in religion caused me to edit a bit on Wikipedia during the late 2010s as an IP editor.
After graduating from high school, I enrolled at a community college in mid-Missouri under a lot of scholarships. During this period, I reconnected with Christianity.( I wasn’t catholic anymore but I nonetheless still identified culturally with Catholicism.) However, the COVID-19 pandemic forced me to be an online student. This gave me extra free time, but it also brought feelings of loneliness. This loneliness alongside access to academic resources, motivated me to be more active in the Wikimedia community. I then eventually became one of the most active users on the English Wikipedia.
After earning my associate degree, I took a gap year.(It was more of a gap semester actually) I later transferred to the University of Missouri and simultaneously enrolled in a liberal arts college. I still have no fucking clone how I made the Dean’s List.

To be admitted as freshman applicants need to take the following classes in high school: 4 English units, 4 Math units, 3 Science units, 3 Social science units, 2 foreign language units, and 1 fine art unit.
Home schooled and students who attended non-accredited schools need a 24 on the ACT or an 1160 on the SAT.[10]

Transfer applicants need a college GPA of 2.5 and a minimum of 24 credits.[9] Transfer applicants from Missouri or border state colleges need a college GPA of 2.0 and an associates degree or have finished the 42 general education requirements.[11]
Some transfer applicants need to submit a high school transcript, interview, or standardized test.[9]
