History

[edit]

In 2006 the members of Papadosio all started out by participating in jam sessions at a bar in their town of Athens, Ohio. The bar had an open-stage and people of the town would bring their instruments and just improvise and play. Anthony, Billy, Mike, Rob, and Sam eventually decided to team up and see if they could take their project outside of the bar scene and soon became Papadosio. [2] They often team up and combine shows/fesitivals with fellow jam band The Werks. When the team up occurs, Fans have referred to the combination as "Werkadosio." [3]

Band Members

[edit]

Papadosio consists of five members.

  • Anthony Thogmartin- guitar, keys, vocals.
  • Billy Brouse- keys and vocals.
  • Mike Healy- drums.
  • Rob McConnell- bass and vocals.
  • Sam Brouse- keys and vocals.

Sound

[edit]

Papadosio's sound is considered a mix of Electronica and Livetronica. One of the traits that Papadosio is best known for is their improvisation. Many of their songs can be extended from 3 minutes to 8 in live performance. [4]
