Model United Nations Rome
The Model United Nations Rome conference (MUN•Rome) is an annual four-day event for both high school and university students, participating both individually or in a delegation. It is organized by Consules and it is held at institutional venues in downtown of Rome, Italy, in March. It is currently on its fourteenth edition.
MUN•Rome began as a project of Consules involving more than 500 students delegates from all over the world. Over the years the conference has been increasing its number of participants reaching the 1,000 students. The conference is an accurate simulation of the main UN committees workload and aims at providing participants a unique opportunity to deal with international issues. University and high school students will work in separate committees.[1] Each participant has the chance to learn the rules and mechanisms of multilateral diplomacy, taking part in workshops held by international experts and in briefings at the nearby embassies. Besides working sessions in the commissions, delegates participate in social events organized by Consules in order to promote the socialization among different cultures.
This year the conference will take place from March 9th to the 12th, 2020.[2]
