I would support Wikipedia prohibiting edits by anonymous/unregistered users
Too many valuable contributors are spending too much of their limited time reverting edits by vandals, who are typically vandalizing from anonymous IP addresses.
I would encourage a more aggressive blocking of vandals. Block them sooner, block them longer.
{67.109.145.68}, {24.75.240.10}, and {132.33.132.19} are just a few (of the hundreds!) of absurd examples of wasteful vandalism that goes on for months, and in some cases years before finally being blocked (sometimes, even after flagrant and repeated acts, blocked for as little as 3 months).
{209.202.75.50} vandalized 11 times, before receiving a 1-day block. Then, 15 more times before the second block, which lasted less than four days. Then, 8 more times before receiving a warning about vandalizing "13 times over the past three days". Then, about 8 more times before receiving a 48-hour block. Every contribution from this IP since November2005 has been vandalism. This is about 50 productive entries that other honest Wikipedians didn't have time to make, spending that time fixing this damage.
