Rangpur Division (Bengali: রংপুর বিভাগ) is the northernmost division of Bangladesh, encompassing eight districts and 58 Upazilas (subdistricts). Established in 2010, it was previously part of Rajshahi Division. As of the 2022 census, Rangpur Division has a population of 17.6 million, making it one of the country’s more populous regions. Known for its predominantly agricultural landscape, Rangpur plays an essential role in the country’s food production, with rice, jute, and potatoes being widely cultivated.
