Colton Thomas, more commonly known as Colton T, is a popular singer and songwriter from Dominica.
Early Life and Education
[edit]Colton Thomas was born on December 7th, 1991 and grew up in the community of Goodwill, Dominica. He graduated from the the Saint Mary's Academy, a catholic high school in Dominica, where he was a member of the football team and served as head boy during his final year. Growing up, Colton wanted to become a veterinarian and began studies in Biology at the Dominica State College. After his first year, he left college to pursue his musical career full time.
Music Career
[edit]Colton T began singing at the age of 15 at local high school events and at talent shows. His interest in the music was sparked after learning about lyrical composition and music recording from a local producer. In 2010, he released his first mixtape, 'Ascendance', and sold over 200 copies overnight. The following year, he produced his first music video, 'Can't be Friends', in Guadeloupe.
He has performed at major Dominican festivals including Creole in the Park and the World Creole Music Festival. Thomas has also performed live in Guadeloupe, Jamaica, New York and Houston and has shared the stage with several internationally known artistes including Damian Marley, Mr. Vegas and Konshens.
Community Outreach
[edit]During the Christmas season Colton T has teamed up with local restaurants and bakeries to provide breakfast for the homeless on the streets of Roseau, Dominica's capital city.

[edit]On May 15th, 2019, Colton T released his first album, Impossible. The album was released exactly 6 years after the release of the music video of his hit song, 'Ice Cream Man'.
