Hello! I am new to Wikipedia editing and welcome any advice and tips on the process.
I work in healthcare administration at the Center for Women's Health at Oregon Health and Science University. I am interested in helping to improve information available on women's health topics in Wikipedia. I learned about the WikiProject Medicine group from a colleague of mine whom I respect very much. I think we can improve the health of our community by helping people have the best, most accurate, evidence-based health information available to them. We all know people are using Wikipedia to look up all sorts of things. I think it's really exciting that WikiProject Medicine is focusing on improving the quality of existing health articles. I look forward to doing what I can to collaboratively improve these resources. I am working with the OHSU Center for Women's Health to build support for the project.
I have a background in the liberal arts (sociology and anthropology from Colgate University) and a Master's degree in Public Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Some of my intellectual interests include social justice, women's rights, and management theory. I love getting (daily?) exercise, eating good food, and lively conversations with family and friends.
Please say hi if you can help me improve my editing skills! I am excited to join the Wikipedia community.
