User:Benjimeer
Benjimeer can be used as a noun or a verb. Something that is benjimeered, is a temporary or semi-permanent contraption or device that has been jimmed to make work. The origin of the term come from the work of one Benjamin John Hambling of Taurnga, New Zealand. Hambling is known for his exploits in amateur and professional theatre, particularly in his home town, but also in a growing number of international venues. While benjimeering is often found in performance construction, Hambling has also applied his skill and knowledge to varied forms of construction and scientific endevours. Most recently, Hambling benjimeered a fantastic fireworks display for the delight of the local neighbourhood residents. Critical tools of a professional benjimeer are gaffar tape, cable ties and a tech-tool, such as a Gerber.
